For the way we treated Dembele, gave him chances in CL, EL etc, his comments are sickening. Glad he's gone tbh.

Can t believe myself that dembele has said that. He was unhappy about not getting his move firstl that's fine but then when it goes through he comes out with this stuff. As u said brendan95 he got CL and EL playing with Celtic. Poor form from dembele alright.

We should have kept him until January. If he didn't want to play for us then stop his wages.
I think we have left ourselves open to this every window now, Clubs will wait till the last few hours then try to sign our best players, and we have now shown we will give in.
Dembele would still have gone for a lot of money in January or next summer, we should have made a statement that we will not be treated like this. If Dembele didn't like it then he could stay away from the club and stew on it.
What I don't get is that we are not in financial trouble, we are in a position to sell players on our terms, which at least means being able to get a replacement in first. If after all we have done to improve Dembele as a footballer he won't even give us that, then being sent home with no pay is the way to treat him, and a warning to greedy players and agents that we won't be messed around.

Don't know what's worse, dembele's comments or his shirt😄.

F**k him he’s gone and good riddance! Not happy that we didn’t bring in someone to replace him but glad he’s gone! These footballers are mercenaries simple as that! See all the social media posting about the love of the club they may be at, its all pish and they couldn’t give a toss! Like I said good riddance and look forward to seeing u sitting on Lyons bench soon 👍🏼👍🏼.

It appears he was charging around in training on Friday morning like a bull in a china shop. Boyata, even told him to calm down . Brendan had to take him out of the training .
His form didn't show any improvement and Brendan and the Board could not risk him any longer at the club A spoilt brat, he believed all the nice things Brendan and others said about him to build his confidence .
Brendan will be getting into the minds of the other players to prove to him he isn't missed.

Gerryc, you can't legally hold his wages even if he refuses to play for the first team. If he is on the books the most you can withold is 2 weeks wages per offence. All he does is do a Boyata and declare himself injured. Boeringer (wrong spelling) and Lindgard did it for years. I am actually glad he is away. Has major injury problems and has not put a shift in this season. What I am unhappy about is that the club didn't see it and held onto him when he should have been punted.
