Hello Folks,

1st time poster here, although I am a long time reader.

Few things of note from last night, I thought Astana were a stubborn team, well organised but offered little threat. Celtic huffed and puffed a little bit, we really could do with more creativity in the side OR a target man type striker. that makes the ball stick.

We SHOULD have enough to qualify for the groups, especially if we are at home in the second game.

Who are we hoping to draw?

Dundalk would be very handy for me .
The Dundalk fans I have heard think Celtic would be the easiest draw for them . I hope we get them but if they knocked us out I don't know what I could so. It was horrendrous.

Who do we want to avoid.

{Ed007's Note - Our possible opponents are (in UEFA seeding order):

Dinamo Zagreb, Ludogorets Razgrad, Copenhagen, Hapoel Be'er Sheva, Dundalk.

I'd fancy our chances against any of them over the two legs but I'm hoping we avoid having to go to Zagreb.}

Ta Ed, was thinking of a shorter journey like the danes or Dundalk much more appealing IMO

We don't want Sheva. Would rather draw Zagreb. Look at the stats Sheva have put together in the qualifiers and last season in the league they only conceded 24 goals. They are the dark horse of the competition, not just the qualifiers.
