Anybody any news on whether brown is fit for today?

kevdoyle24

1.) 07 Oct 2018 11:18:19
Not fit for today but unsure exactly when he will be back. It looks like Ntcham and Mulumbu agajn.

2.) 07 Oct 2018 11:33:34
Your joking mate, I wish we would just play all the younger bhoys in the Europa league will have a lot of tired legs the day which ain’t good for a defence in that state, we need the first goal today if St Johnstone score first we won’t come back.

24 Sep 2018 15:45:54
Board has sold us all and Brendan false promises why was Brendan not told when he signed his 4 year deal there was no transfer for budget for 18/19 season along with the 50,000 season ticket buyers?

kevdoyle24

1.) 24 Sep 2018 20:30:52
Kevdoyle24 When did you find out this amazing "fact" I thought Board spent
£7/ 8m or more on Eduardo . I thought they paid some money on Arzani loan . etc.
Maybe the board have decided that until Brendan rids us of some of the rubbish he signed in the previous 4 Windows they cannot trust B R with any more.

2.) 24 Sep 2018 21:17:31
Eduoard was basically a free transfer from the money we received from Armstrong or even the van dyke money that has seemingly vanished. pity we can’t play a disco ball in central defence just what we needed! . be surprised if Arzani kicks a ball.

3.) 25 Sep 2018 02:02:40
With PSG recent close shave with financial fair play, I would not be surprised if Edouard transfer fee was being spread out over a number of seasons with the condition if he is sold then balance is cleared. Im not convinced we paid an upfront fee for him.

4.) 25 Sep 2018 06:08:07
Folks, we all need to take a deep breath and calm down. This kind of finger-pointing and apportioning blame is totally counter-productive and is exactly what TFOD and their friends in the press want!
Ok - we have been poor - but we still have the best squad and I still think we will win the league. We also have £37m in the bank that we can call on in Jan to give us some extra impetus for the 2nd half of the season (before the Dembele money) .
Let’s pull together, support the manager and the team and stick it right up Sevco.
Remember - A Team Like No Other.
Hail Hail.

5.) 25 Sep 2018 10:09:20
Hate to say it but 8 in a row looks like a pipe dream we are a laughing stock #shambles.

6.) 25 Sep 2018 10:28:29
Kevdoyle24 Basically according to your argument very few clubs ever have a transfer for budget? at any time, as most clubs use money bought in from sale of player to fund or part fund the transfer fee for incoming player . Just like Armstrong for Eduardo . Amazingly teams in the EPL who receive up to £159m from TV even use player sale to help fund player purchase.

7.) 25 Sep 2018 14:48:38
Db67 🎣 me thinks? A shambles? we are in the same position as Sevco were in the league last week and the MSM has us all believing the persons were showing great signs of progress and what a start mr shake the opponents hands Gerrard had made? But a couple of iffy results and Brendan’s off the players hate each other blah blah blah? I am confident as I have been the last 7 years we will win the league it’s only September the big prizes come out in may 🙂⚽️🍀🏆🏆🏆.

8.) 25 Sep 2018 15:04:35
Please don’t anybody try and justify us doing feck all to prepare us for the CL. That would be taking happy clapping arse licking to new levels I didn’t think I would see, even in here.

We had money, we made money, we shat it and we are paying the price. To try and cover up for Lawell is nauseating.

9.) 25 Sep 2018 15:46:37
Bigp compare us now on and off the pitch to any time in the last 2 seasons and we are a shambles And this isn’t a couple of iffy results we have only won 9 out of 19 home games in the league at Home also we have not won away this season so Bigp this is nothing like Tharp last week this has been over a year now #SHAMBLES.

10.) 25 Sep 2018 16:13:18
A transfer budget is agreed very early with regards to financial strategy. Normally in that budget will be an agreed amount of money from player sales wether it be 50% for example or all of player sales going into the budget pot for players.

Also remember guys that this budget is not just for the initial transfer amount it relates to wages for the season and agent fee.

Brendan has stated that he wanted 3 players and these players where easily achievable had we not stuttered. Those players where John McGinn, Fabien Schar and i forget the third player now. The boards arrogance cost us McGinn, they thought he would walk over hot coals to get into the hoops shirt and could have potentially moved for free or on the cheap in Jan/ Summer 2019. Schar again was achievable but we did not pursue this as far as i am aware. If we did then it would have been a 6 figure initial offer/ bid.

Brendan is not clear of blame, he has possibly created poor relations with the board in some of his targets not being able to play in the first team. Lots of time and money wasted on Musonda capture. Massive failure due to the boys attitude and entourage according to reports, this should and could have been and maybe was highlighted earlier on in negotiating the deal and Brendan still pushed for it. Along with other failed signings the trust in Brendan and his teams eye has maybe been questioned. We know who he has signed and who is really struggling to make and impact. 2 defenders spring instantly to mind. Im not going to say to much about Benny and Kouassi. They are young and on buttons. They have a load of potential and where never purchased to walk straight into our team.

Plenty of blame but blame carries us backwards, we all know the sort of things going on at the club. We all know that we are a selling club with a biscuit tin mentality (French Eddy) aside. He is a one off for us, they see potential dollar signs in his eyes. Its an investment for the Peter Lawells bonus pot not initially for the fans. Bonus pots come first. We all know this.

Back the team and we will get through this.

My final thought is how disgusted i am at how the Scottish media are creaming thier pants with Stevie G hysteria. Its almost embarrassing. Did they not do the same when Murty went on a run beating teams for fun and scoring all over the park. How did that turn out again? They are full of confidence and we are looking like Ronnies Team. Which we still kinda are. We just need a kick up the arse and if guys aren't speaking to one an other off the park due to personal disputes then we have turned in to "them over the road" pathetic to think about a split dressing room. Boydy hopes the dressing room is split.

The double "treble" champs do what the feck they want.

11.) 25 Sep 2018 20:11:50
Db67 take it you listen to Clyde ssb too the wee cheerleader quoted that stat several times we took the foot off the gas tail end of last season to concentrate on the treble which we won and also helped Hibs and the sheep too! Off the park we are a shambles we cave 27 million in the bank befor Dembelle cash we live well within our means yeh maybe not as successful a transfer window as we hoped. But do you does any of us mere fans know exactly the ins and outs of Boyatas dealings or who the club targeted or who brendan did really want as his signings ain’t been too great? As for the smsm favourite dig Mcginn the guy didn’t choose us as he wasn’t guaranteed a starting slot we matched fee and wage and he still chose villa? So as I said a few iffy results I have the upmost confidence the team and management will get it sorted and by the end of may not September we will be the most consistent performers and win the league! ⚽️🍀🏆🏆🏆 #creamrisestothetop.

12.) 25 Sep 2018 20:32:25
just crazy - faithful thru and thru?

how many teams n the spl are capable of going on a 10 game run?

1.

End of.

Yeah its frustrating we beat ragers - 3 points and then loose to killie. but killie will take points of hearts/ hibs/ aberdeen. aberdeen will take points off - you know where I am going.

we will pull our socks up, we will win a cup or 2, we will stil be in europe after christmas and we will be top of the league and and I hope then you all come back and say sorry. he he.

13.) 25 Sep 2018 20:58:08
Hearts, Hibs and Rangers have already beaten Killie

Killie won’t get in the top 6 this year and I doubt they’ll take many points of the top teams this season.

14.) 25 Sep 2018 21:30:36
Ooh we love a negative stat so Barcelona a so called major power in football have dropped points against getafe espanyol pumped by Roma several non wins this year are they a #shambles no they roll with the punches and move on to the next game every big club has wee spells so dry yer panties folks we will be over the season the most consistent team and gather the most points 🙂⚽️🍀🏆.

15.) 25 Sep 2018 21:29:55
Don't panic it's only September, fairweather supporteritis I think it's called.

16.) 26 Sep 2018 13:51:34
What gets me is everyone and their dog seems to think the board have sold Rodgers short. Well he was probably told his budget if we make the CL and his budget if we don't he signed the deal knowing all the facts. So it's on him if we don't have back up targets.

29 Jan 2018 00:21:26
Just heard from the daily sport (the paper with the boobs) . Sone Aluko coming in on loan from reading ghuys hopefully not.

kevdoyle24

1.) 29 Jan 2018 09:02:26
The other papers have the t*ts working in their sports section.

Aluko is a poor mans Daniel Candias!

2.) 29 Jan 2018 11:58:31
Is this the same player that played for the deid team and has scored 23 goals in something like 150 games?

I that sounds like a players BR would sign.

26 Jan 2018 21:17:35
Gary hooper back to the celts?

kevdoyle24

1.) 26 Jan 2018 22:35:59
No thanks.

2.) 27 Jan 2018 11:46:51
He spends as much time on the treatment table as Rogic. Unreliable and misses to many big games. Excellent when fit but he left us for Norwich.

19 Jan 2018 07:56:09
The independent claiming we’re interested in former Crystal Palace striker Reise Allassani ( who? ) . plays for Dulwich Hamlet in England’s 7th their after injury scuppered his move to sheff Wednesday in 2016.scores 17 in 16 games this season. if any truth probs be a loan deal anyway with option to buy for free.

kevdoyle24

1.) 19 Jan 2018 08:34:06
Think you have it confused with the zombies across the city.

2.) 19 Jan 2018 09:15:03
Definitely was the zombies linked with him! England's 7th tier that's about their level.

3.) 19 Jan 2018 10:44:00
Have seen him in action. Very tidy for his level.

4.) 19 Jan 2018 11:34:24
Seems he was a bright prospect till injury struck.

5.) 19 Jan 2018 13:18:15
Kev, he has pace to burn and a cracking shot on him. Not afraid to have a crack from distance. They love him at the Hamlet! Would expect everyone to turn their nose up at him and I’m not saying he would be good enough for us but he is a good attacking player who can also hold onto the ball in a hustle. I thought it was The Zombies who were after him though.

Why does everyone want old managers back or old players for that matter.
Don't you want to see new players and managers with new ideas and a fresh approach?

2.) 28 Apr 2019 10:34:55
Sell-by-date expired on the blessed Martin a wee while ago sadly.

3.) 28 Apr 2019 13:02:55
So the 2 dislikes do you NOT want to see new people and ideas around our club?

4.) 28 Apr 2019 13:45:32
Think those are 2 'thumbs-up' Kev.

5.) 28 Apr 2019 14:00:57
Nah OAB it's 2 thumbs up and now 3 thumbs down
Must be people who do want to see us improve.

6.) 29 Apr 2019 00:28:14
Is there a thumbs down button? I can only see a thumbs up one!

7.) 29 Apr 2019 07:34:49

GLASGOW’S GREEN AN WHITE. COME ON YOU BHOYS IN GREEN! . MARKER LAID.

kevdoyle24

25 Sep 2018 22:35:30
A lot of players aswell before we sign them have good records etc playing for there current clubs were mabye winning 3 games out of 5 is amazing but when u play for Glasgow Celtic the demands from the fans is every game must be won nothing else is acceptable and a lot of players buckle and cannot handle that pressure wearing the hoops brings we’re every game must be won that’s the least we expect but the players who do stand upto that pressure live in our hearts for ever.

kevdoyle24

25 Sep 2018 19:31:24
I see Brendan getting some stick on here lately. ::does any Celtic supporter think it’s acceptable that after his first season and success he brought that we have weakened then weakened again following season? . why not back our manager ( the board) with 2 players who would be first team starters in those 2 seasons? . I think Brendan’s hands are tied absolutely disgusting what the board are doing to the guy. we purchase 5 players valued at a million each. why can’t we sign one quality player instead of 5 duds? . I’m my eyes Brendan deserves that at least. if Brendan leaves I’m leaving with him.

kevdoyle24

1.) 25 Sep 2018 21:06:01
The warning signs were there last season. look at our form after the top 6 split? . :but we all thought we will invest in the summer push on and progress but we regressed for for the 2nd season in a row. it hurts. will we spend cash in January? . loosing out mcGinn was a sore one couldn’t believe for the price he went to villa. came back to haunt us straight away. he knows the Scottish game well played all his career here. we went tynecastle and lost with brown and Kouassi. would mcGinn not have perfect to slot into out midfield with brown? . that’s not Brendan’s fault. bhoys/ Ghirls imo we are better exiting all cups and concentrate on league. being celtic’s fans all our life’s. passed on through generations of families. imagine being alive to see 10 In a row? . how much would that mean to every Celtic supporter in the world? . and we have a so called Celtic supporters on our board? .

2.) 25 Sep 2018 21:45:49
I do nt want to appear pro- Board or anti Brendan, but I think we should be honest and fair about our situation . Brendan cannot argue that he hasn't signed enough players in the last two windows to not make a worthwhile contribution .
The Board have to ask themselves have they pushed the boat out properly to get all Brendan 's targets or if they don't trust BR's selection of new players, what have they done to help him by getting better scouts and better head of recruitment . We want manager and Board to work together not in competition.

3.) 26 Sep 2018 02:23:23
McGinn had the choice of clubs and he chose NOT to sign for us. let's move on from that one at least.

4.) 26 Sep 2018 09:53:12
TT, that's a bit of a skewed opinion of the McGinn saga.
His preference was always Celtic but we fecked about with Hibs over a fee, not only did we leave the door open for other clubs but we feckin held it open for them and invited them in, Villa came in, took the lad to Birmingham and made him feel special and wanted.
We did none of that for him and Lawwell tried to play the role of the smart arse. He lost that one. And so did we. I don't blame McGinn for going there after all the bolloxing around we did over a small amount of money. HH.

5.) 26 Sep 2018 11:39:07
Bob the cat it's is not skewed at all.
He had his choice and made it

In Scotland you can enter a comfort zone, ” McGinn told the Scottish Sun.

“I felt I had already developed a reputation there and felt it was important to prove I can play elsewhere.

“I’m ambitious, which is why I chose Villa. ”

His own words why he choice villa.
He wanted out of Scotland.

25 Sep 2018 16:54:37
We all know who’s fault this this bhoys. after what Brendan done for us that first season he deserved at least 2 players who could walk into the team, not projects absolutely unforgivable we are now weaker than Brendan’s first season then we weakened again 2nd season then weakened again this season. unforgivable! . was lawell there when Martin O’neill was there I’m not sure? . did Brendan’s list of targets that was handed to board in June:July include Mulumbu and Benkovic? ., it’s not these players faults. we needed a striker who could score at least 30 goals and we sold him with one hour and 30 mins left in the transfer window. was it a coincidence the fee covered out champions league losses? . was Lyon encouraged to bid? . yes we have funds available for January we also had funds available last 2 seasons. our lost at tynecastle woulda been a game where John Mcginn fitted right in. it’s only September better this happening now than in March. back the manager not mediocrity. hail hail bhoys. we need 2 strikers up front and go all out attack but can’t incase of an injury.

kevdoyle24

1.) 26 Sep 2018 13:23:18
Aye I suppose P Lawwell closed his eyes and stuck a needle in the middle of all top league teams in Europe and came up with Lyon . Peter then decided that Lyon would buy Dembele whether they wanted him or not, not only that he made them pay about 5 m more than they wanted .
Peter then concentrated on getting Dembele to accuse Brendan of all sorts of things so that Dembele would leave with a bad taste .
It's amazing how a youngster's mind works
Maybe the tooth fairy will leave us a replacement striker.

Other teams buy quality mate whereas we sell ours always, I would prefer not be be in the Europa league anyway so we could focus solely on domestic matters this season and let’s be honest we’re never going to win it anyways with a defence like that, we would need to score about 4 goals per game but would still concede 5 anyways.
