Any thoughts on us signing Ryan Kent? Might cause a few rumbles across the city. Good rumour to start.

We already have better at club.

2.) 21 Jul 2019 20:09:36
Sinclair used to be better than Kent. We won't sign him anyway. Personally I think Kent is a cracking player with a questionable attitide. If we take off the green n white tinted glasses he is the 1 player from across the city who would have got in our team last season. Fact. As I said he won't be a celtic player tho.

3.) 21 Jul 2019 20:31:43
Dont think any of us can call Kent a bad player. but like I said before his stats in the Scottish game are woeful! Forrest and Sinclair are miles ahead! He was a bright spark in a team of losers really, that’s why he stood out! I have no doubt he’ll end up back with them and I don’t expect anything different from what he done last season! And for all our sevconians out there who pretend they don’t come on here I’ll bet any of u whatever u like that James Forrest who u lot constantly say is garbage will outscore and out assist the player u seem to think is from another planet! Come on who’s up for it? Haha!

4.) 21 Jul 2019 20:39:19
Do you think because you say fact it means something other than your talking piss?
Forrest Sinclair and Johnstone were all better than kent last season.

What he score? Around 7 and 7 assists in all competitions or something?

Micky Johnstone played about a 1/ 4 of the games and scored 5.
Sinclair and Forrest scored 10 more than him.
Get in our team. Baws. He might have made the bench.

5.) 21 Jul 2019 21:19:10
Kent had 2 good games last season according to rangers fans I know. Jyst happened to be against us. What's the deal with sinc though what's the beef between him and Lennon.

6.) 21 Jul 2019 21:27:44
I'm guessing it's a Scott Allan type deal with Mrs sinky.

7.) 21 Jul 2019 22:17:29
Would love to see it but can't see it happening. The guy was the best player in the 2 old firm games in ibrox and against us in the last game at parkhead. Plus is would piss them off big time.

8.) 21 Jul 2019 22:30:23
Lustiq made Kent look better than he is.

9.) 21 Jul 2019 23:08:20
I am glad some of you are enjoying a drink tonight but that lad Kent would have no chance of making our starting 11 last season this season or any other season.

Sinky Johnstone Jamesy all better players even Hayes better player with Shved to come in and young Karamoko as well that thug Kent would only be near the bench to clean the others boots I’m afraid.

10.) 21 Jul 2019 23:18:09
Kent was clearly better than all of our wingers other than Forrest last season. He played very well against us in 3 of the 4 games. I personally hope they don’t get him back.

And as for stats, they don’t tell the whole story.

If they did Morelos is better than Dembele and Kris Boyd is the best striker to play in scotland in the last 25 years.

11.) 22 Jul 2019 00:53:29
Kent is a gd player. Id have him in our team before Sinclair and Hayes based on his performances last season. I want Johnston involved a lot this season as I think he is a crackin player with loads of potential.

I won't state fact again as it seems to offend some here. I should have stated IMO instead. Fact haha

HH.

12.) 22 Jul 2019 05:27:56
How would stats prove that boyd is the best striker in 25 years. That to me says you can't read stats because his goal to game ratio isn't good at all for a striker.

13.) 22 Jul 2019 08:48:40
If where talking stats he holds the record for goals Cory.

14.) 22 Jul 2019 10:57:46
Next you will saying we could get Tav as s replacement for Kieran.

15.) 22 Jul 2019 16:24:01
I’d have to say if you are going by Stats then Tavernier would have got in our team for last 2 seasons with around 40 assists from RB I’m pretty sure that’s more than Lustig when we know he can’t defend very well.
Stats give you an indication of how a player played but they can be deceiving as to their overall ability.

16.) 22 Jul 2019 22:41:44
Kent is Barry white he’s only getting a run oot wi Liverpool in an effort to punt him.

Celtic away goal in draw. Rangers take slim lead to Russia. 7th best team in English premier league thrashed by second best team (behind AEK Athens) in Greece. That's real news.

Doesn't get away from the fact we were pants Andy and our defence couldn'y keep weans oot a close.

2.) 24 Aug 2018 07:53:27
He's got a point, unless we hump a team it's panty wetting yet that mob n an epl get to see the bigger picture. True we don't keep a clean sheet n it's a worry but qualifying is all that matters, getting through the window n putting a run together. HH.

Posted this the other night and wondered if anyone had anymore thoughts.
Anyone any idea what Roberto Di Matteo is doing right now? Do, you reckon he's a worthy candidate? European experience and worked to a tight budget at WBA. Learnt thro various managers at Chelski. Of all the names put forward how many have had European and domestic (UK) experience?

andyferg

1.) Di Matteo is on the old Gardening leave, technically still being paid by Chelsea until he is employed by a new club. I don't know exactly how it works, I just heard he had knocked back a few jobs because they didn't come close to what he was being paid by them - supposedly 60-80k per week. So I think it's fair to say we won't be going after him, Coyle sounds perfect, someone they can dictate to, partly control. Same old, same old.

2.) Same as MacKay with Cardiff till he came to agreement with them a couple of weeks ago to terminate contract.Probably took a percentage of contracts value in a one off payment to free himself to take a new job.

3.) Yeah exactly Marky - Stevie Clarke is actually in the same boat at West Brom, so I don't know if that would be of relevance to a potential deal with us. Anyway If he wanted it enough, he can simply walk away from a pay-off. To be fair though he might have been on a 3 year deal with West Brom at 20K(at least) a week, what will we be offering? With our lack of ambition, and love of the old sycophantic yes man type, we'll probably be offering about 10k a week.

1.) Good shout andy a wouldn't be unhappy with him but a doubt we could afford his wages

2.) Di Matteo is a quality suggestion mate

3.) That's a fantastic shout Andy! One who's went off the radar since winning the Champions League + FA Cup two years ago!

I agree Marco 18888, respect the club sign a one year deal, prove yourself again and get a move to a bigger club than Brighton one year from now.

Has any one seen KT take a corner? He seems to hit a dead ball pretty well.

Agree. 1-1 away better than 1-0 home. Why do the media keep calling it Gerard’s Rangers?

With Craig Gordon you don't lose that class. He may have had his injuries but like Henrik there will be a mental challenge post injury and I'm sure he will rise to it. To be likened to has beens like Gravesen (he wasn't that bad!) and Ljungeberg is a bit harsh. A one year deal max would have been better.

andyferg

{Ed007's Note - 'With Craig Gordon you don't lose that class'. Just let that sink in for a minute everyone, and no laughing at the back.
Look at GK around the same age, Boruc, Valdes, Petr Cech, Casillas and Reina have all deteriorated over the last 4 years whilst playing consistently for their teams, Cassilas captained the WC winners four years ago and look at his performances in Brazil.
Gordon has spent those 4 years battling injuries to his knees and broken arms, he's has played less than 20 matches in those four years yet 'With Craig Gordon you don't lose that class'. Unbelievable! Has Dr Fuentes been treating him?}
