Anyone heard anything regarding new signing? Would've though something would've been leaked to boost morale in the support.

Tambow40

1.) 15 Aug 2019 10:08:00
Izaguirre and Anthony Stokes having medicals this morning.

2.) 15 Aug 2019 11:22:16
What signings! If any it will be SPL players

Lawell and his puppet manager taking the mick. Don’t worry though after we win this cup game at the weekend all will be ok 🙄.

3.) 15 Aug 2019 11:25:15
Won`t be signing anybody, Strachan out already briefing for the board this morning in the sun, no panic buys needed, board will stay calm, same old crap year in year out and they get away with it.

4.) 15 Aug 2019 13:09:34
What do we need new signings for? Lennon won't use the feckin new ones we just bought for £10,000,000!

5.) 15 Aug 2019 14:02:30
We still have enough time and money to end the window with a much stronger squad but do we have the ambition?

6.) 15 Aug 2019 14:22:04
Celtic going to sign? Or maybe even @@@@@ who really knows I don’t think they even knows. Team for next game maybe?

Gordon
Ralston
Jullien
Ajer
Boli
Ntcham
Henderson

Shved
Christie
Sinclair

Grif.

7.) 15 Aug 2019 14:33:57
Not with this board. We need a fan owned club or atleast 2 or 3 members on the board who can take our questions to them and give us honest answers as to why we are getting the right players on and why Lawwell continues ro interfere with signings.

8.) 15 Aug 2019 14:36:21
Anybody got Big Sammy's mobile number :-) ?

9.) 15 Aug 2019 16:15:45
Maybe one more in but doubt it with this board. Business should be done start of window so team and new players can settle.

10.) 15 Aug 2019 16:54:37
This season of all seasons they’re messing around I think they’ll no about it from the support if it goes wrong.

11.) 15 Aug 2019 17:31:15
The green brigade will have a banner sorted by the next qualifier. No doubt it’ll be slagging Lawwell.

12.) 15 Aug 2019 17:59:36
Jordan Ibe Bournemouth on loan.

13.) 15 Aug 2019 23:19:16
the green brigade do a great job. but now it needs to be taken to the next level. lawell pisses on us every season with excuse after excuse. i think for next season the season book renewal should be after the window closes, then if your happy renew, if not you dont. but us sitting on our arses moaning but doing nothing is going to cost us big time.

14.) 16 Aug 2019 11:27:01
👏👏👏robroy classic suggestion don't renew till September even though our season starts in july.8 in a row champions and you effectively want a boycott🤯.

15.) 16 Aug 2019 12:00:07
Seen Samaras and ambrose getting out a taxi at lennoxtown! New signings, u having a laugh! What do we need them for! Not like we need them or anything! They’d probably just sit on the bench anyway!

16.) 16 Aug 2019 12:44:10
jim the season books are sold out. money has been guaranteed by supporters. pedro knows this and doesn't give a toss. but hey mate you sit and think all is well. come back on when it goes tits up and say the same.

17.) 16 Aug 2019 14:53:25
I'm not a Fairweather supporter like some if it goes tits up I'll still be there. I'll support Celtic wether we win 8 in a row or not away and join in with hysterical sack fans. HH.

18.) 16 Aug 2019 23:49:46
jim can you honestly say you are happy with this window? and can you hand on heart say you were impressed on tuesday. this is one of the biggest seasons in recent history and we flaff about like this. come on we are better than this.

19 Jun 2019 12:19:41
Nicky Hammond director of football? Anyone any info on him?

Tambow40

1.) 19 Jun 2019 12:36:17
Hope he disnae bring Burke with him HH.

2.) 19 Jun 2019 16:00:26
So the penny drops. now we are getting a director of football maybe that now explains the transfer inadequacies at paradise. here, s hoping it changes and soon.

3.) 19 Jun 2019 16:43:18
Even the rumours page has no rumours about players. Sums it up.

Nobody’s even bothering to make s hit up.

4.) 19 Jun 2019 17:32:08
John Kennedy spoke earlier and said it’s going to be a couple of weeks before faces come in. If we were to lose Ajer or another defender in the pre season we could be down to the bare bones for the qualifiers.
I can see his point a little bit in the fact that we are back and some teams are just going off on holiday, but other sides have made signings, some significant signings . Was turnbull the top of our list? If so we move onto other targets, does that mean lesser options?

5.) 19 Jun 2019 18:03:17
Same old bollocks then from Kennedy then. If we have another window like that total farce last summer then everyone at the club involved in transfers should be court martialed and sent to a dungeon somewhere.

My worst fear of Lenny being a total poodle willing to accept feck all is gathering pace.

We must be the worst team in football at transfer windows. feckin totally sick of our dithering and cheapskate p ish.

6.) 19 Jun 2019 18:58:37
John Kennedy making a fool of himself by trying to explain the issues with the transfer window and it could be a couple of weeks. Tell that to other teams who are already 4 and 5 players deep in recruitment.

What has gone on? Did we have nobody lined up to sign as soon as the window opened. Are we not all fully aware of the players that have been required for the last 3 windows.

We get mixed up in a farsical move for a kid that we did not even need and we have damaged our already poor ability to navigate a transfer window. When do we say stop?

Does Tierney, Eddy and McGregor leave this window with no acceptable explenation other than the fully expected. "the leaked transfer doc put us in a very difficult situation and this was the main reason why we have only 18 1st team players and 100mil in the bank blah blah blah.

As i say i fully expect the above excuse.

7.) 19 Jun 2019 20:51:17
Sorry what other teams Aberdeen hearts and sevco
Even without signings we would still have a stronger team
It’s hard but we must keep faith with the board and hope they make the signings the fans want?

8.) 19 Jun 2019 22:07:41
Lennon on Celtic TV and here is his quote
We are looking to make some additions and it will be important to integrate them in as quickly as possible.

There is a huge amount of work going in and we hope we will get some positive news soon. ”
After what has just happened he best hope.

9.) 20 Jun 2019 02:45:42
Boss is a West Brom fan. When I asked his opinion he said "Crap. Came from Reading and that's why we are lumbered with Hal Robson Kanu on 50k a week" 😂.

23 May 2019 09:38:02
Eddie you heard anything about Celtic requesting police presence at Celtic park on Monday at 4pm, got a message from my mate who's brother in law is a copper saying it's been granted?

Tambow40

1.) 23 May 2019 09:53:34
Meant to say Edd.

{Ed007's Note - I was told it was a stewarding company they had contacted. It could be for a Bank Holiday trophy parade/presentation or it could have something to do with the derig after the rugby.

2.) 23 May 2019 10:24:13
Are they not planning a bus parade if we do treble?

3.) 23 May 2019 12:17:42
The bus parade is taking place on Saturday at 6:30pm starting from saltmarket to gallowgate ending at Bain street.

4.) 23 May 2019 13:11:54
New manager?

5.) 23 May 2019 13:14:12
New manager announcement.
Cue Lenny walking out the front door cupping his ears doing the aeroplane!

6.) 23 May 2019 13:25:37
I have a mate in the council forwarded me an email detailing road closers around Celtic park with the expectation of large crowds gathering on Monday, booked for 14.00 -18.00pm. Must be manager anouncment.

7.) 23 May 2019 13:39:01
If it's a new manager they wouldn't need stwarts and police if it was Lennon. Did you see his return to cp, nothing more than a half dozen grannie's there.

8.) 23 May 2019 13:51:06
That would be a nightmare.

9.) 23 May 2019 13:57:50
It's Mourinho.

10.) 23 May 2019 14:37:01
It’s Roy Keane.

11.) 23 May 2019 14:57:13
Does Lenny have four arms?
How else can he Cup his ears and do the aeroplane?

12.) 23 May 2019 17:24:14
He does have forearms.

13.) 23 May 2019 19:31:24
It's the honey monster.

05 May 2019 14:33:55
Lots of reports coming in that we've offered Mourinho the managers job, if true no sure how I feel about it.

Tambow40

1.) 05 May 2019 14:50:18
Clearly nonsense.

Even if it was true, he would only knock it back immediately anyway.

2.) 05 May 2019 14:53:23
I'd take him in a heart beat. Don't see it happening but would be some capture. The kind of big name that will get players wanting to come. but again would be a huge shock if he did.

3.) 05 May 2019 15:29:27
He's one of the World's best managers. It would be an unbelievable appointment if it happened - way above the level of Rodgers coming in.

4.) 05 May 2019 15:55:19
Think we need someone who doesn’t expect a £200 million budget 😳.

5.) 05 May 2019 16:05:45
One of the world's best managers partly because he has had millions and millions to spend on new players every transfer window. I'm not saying he's not good but with the exception of when he was at Porto he has spent a fortune at every club he has managed. He wouldn't have that kinda money with us and for that reason alone he wouldn't come.

If it were up to me (which it isn't) I would give him a bye ball in favour of a manager who has been successful without mega millions to spend. HH.

6.) 05 May 2019 16:31:34
Bestyboy he actually achieves more when unexpected.

Porto won the uefa cup and champions league. No fluke.

Inter he won their first European cup since 1965 during a period in which they have far from dominated in Italy nevermind Europe.

Chelsea he had money but they were building their new empire.

Our job is still too small but him taking on say the AC Milan job is his type or project. Rebuilding a team who need a leader.

A squad who see him as the main man as oppose to battling their egos.

7.) 05 May 2019 17:37:42
Theres only one way I could dislike him more, that's if he blew 10. don't trust him its a no from me.

8.) 05 May 2019 19:43:26
Would be a fantastic appointment. Would be up there with our biggest ever.

9.) 05 May 2019 20:32:27
Biggest ever mistake. he's a turd and a cheat.

10.) 05 May 2019 21:10:48
He seems to inspire players within the first year then becomes too big for his boots, if we only want Nine in a row he would be perfect, but for the next 5 years not a hope in hell, I will never forgive him how his cheating tactics cost us the UEFA Cup.

11.) 05 May 2019 21:30:18
Steph he's the most successful manager in the game right now. Celtic fans really need to get over the sour grapes over seville. He done his job.
You talk like Celtic players never dive.

12.) 05 May 2019 22:15:09
Fake News.

13.) 05 May 2019 23:08:56
No it's true and Pedro says he has 200 million to spend.

14.) 05 May 2019 23:20:41
Mourinho is anti football with a negative attitude. Don’t want a cheat at Celtic Park.

15.) 05 May 2019 23:25:07
Kev the odd dive is not my gripe. It was sustained and obviously part of the teams tactics as instructed by him. Al never get over Seville.

16.) 06 May 2019 00:42:35
He would be a fantastic appointment and is a world class manager but let's be honest there is more chance of Delia coming back than us getting Mourinho.

17.) 06 May 2019 02:19:25
Our football is bad enough at the minute without his dinosaur negative tactics. Far too bitter and controversial too and would spend more games in the stand than the dugout.

18.) 06 May 2019 06:12:40
Sounds like you are describing Lennon.

19.) 06 May 2019 10:10:05
Ed what are your thoughts on the Jose rumour.

{Ed007's Note - They're nonsense.}

20.) 06 May 2019 19:41:31
Cannot believe we’re actually debating the prospect of Mourinho coming in as manager! Haha! There’s not a chance in hell of this happening lol! Just picturing him at a freezing cold Dingwall on a Wednesday nite haha! He’s on about 15 million a season and would want double our annual turnover to spend on players! That’s before any of his back room team come in! Not to mention he’s a total walloper and an arrogant cheating cant! lol.

21.) 06 May 2019 21:07:17
There is more cast of Walter Smith being our DOF and Fat Swally being our next HC.

22.) 07 May 2019 00:37:05
I'd happily take Walter Smith and I'm not joking lol.

Good for both parties. He's a good manager and a chance for him to not mess up 10 in a row haha.

23.) 07 May 2019 21:02:24
I’ll take a Spanish donkey as manager at this rate I’ve heard Pedro has already offered one the job and bookies have slashed the odds pmsl! What next we planing a bid for hazard ha ha.

24.) 07 May 2019 22:12:06
One of the world's best managers?, look at his statistics, he doesn't manage, he buys the best players and let's them play, he doesn't manage then, he got lucky at Porto, like Ronnie did at Stromsgodset, had a brilliant bunch of players coming thru just when he was there, (coincidence in both cases, nothing to do with their managerial abilities) , after that he just spent, spent spent, he could have brought on more of the young boys at Man U, but he went for big name signings, he was like su
perally, in the third division, buying superstars like Kevin Kyle, of whatever his name was, instead of playing the young players,
Would be better getting Dick Campbell from Arbroath, he would do a better job.

25.) 07 May 2019 22:36:04
Kev, look at the money he has spent. That has been a big part of his success and he wouldn't have a fraction of it to spend at Celtic. Lawwell and him would fall out within the first 3 months, he'd throw his toys out of the pram and then he'd be off at the first opportunity. HH.

26.) 07 May 2019 22:43:34
FFS guys, grow up.
There is NO chance of Mourinho being our next manager. Stop reading the Daily Tripe and catch a grip of yourselves. He is exactly the opposite of what we need or can afford and it disappoints me that some of you are being sucked in by utter pish. Move along, nothing to see here. HH.

26 Feb 2019 08:48:17
According to sky sports BR is in talks with LC, disappointed tbh.

Tambow40

1.) 26 Feb 2019 08:54:09
Shocking if he's actually gone at this point of the season
Shows that he's just been talking Garbage to the fans saying it's his dream job etc.

2.) 26 Feb 2019 08:56:09
apparently he's away and taking Davis and Tourre with him.

3.) 26 Feb 2019 09:05:14
It is being reported that it could be done as early as today. Can't believe it to be honest. Shocking.

4.) 26 Feb 2019 09:12:23
Surprised and extremely disappointed with this decision. He could have seen the season out. Leicester would have waited I'm sure if they really wanted him. Like I say, disappointed. He better get used to not playing in Europe.

5.) 26 Feb 2019 09:18:43
Come home Neil Lennon please god.

6.) 26 Feb 2019 09:52:21
Can't understand the logic - only the lolly?

7.) 26 Feb 2019 09:53:32
With his record would he want to play in Europe if wee blow ten in a row heads must roll!

8.) 26 Feb 2019 10:14:43
Personally think that Brendan asked to stay until the end of the season to deliver the treble treble, but Peter has said nope you can go right now as it will delay our rebuilding .
good luck Brendan thanks for the memories Hail Hail YNWA.

9.) 26 Feb 2019 11:11:02
Can’t believe this unreal, please though no N. Lennon even as temporary boss, let's get someone with experience in Europe and a good league theirs bound to be one or two floating about lol benetez could be a good shout.

10.) 26 Feb 2019 11:36:23
there is only one reason brendan is walking away to join a low level club and it is PETER LAWELL shame on him. i hope brendan doesn't sign any disclosure documents and comes out and tells the true fans the truth about what's going on, hh.

{Ed007's - Twaddle! The ONLY person to blame is Brendan Rodgers himself and his ego.}

11.) 26 Feb 2019 13:39:55
I agree with 007 his ego was always going to do this one day and I just hoped it would be not in the middle of a season. Poor timing by someone who’s kidded us on for 2 years reference his ‘dream job’.

12.) 26 Feb 2019 14:47:11
He said Liverpool was his dream job aswell, lying c@nt.

13.) 26 Feb 2019 17:29:20
Find it hard to believe. I really thought he got what it meant to manage Celtic but clearly he doesn’t. I think he’ll regret this decision at some point but to be honest, I don’t really care. Happy with either NL or SC and one of them can take their place in Celtic history as the guy who lead us to 10 in a row.

14.) 26 Feb 2019 17:35:49
Chrisbhoy, NL has experience of Europe. We beat Barcelona while he was the boss.

15.) 26 Feb 2019 19:38:03
Neil Lennon has beaten Barcelona well the team of players did and they were great players too in that team, would I consider Lennon and experienced European manager not a chance sorry but not for me.

Does anyone know for a fact the KT wants to leave? Find it strange we keep hearing he's keen but not pushing and the fact that he's usually pretty active on social media but not heard a peep in weeks.

Tambow40

1.) 31 Jul 2019 16:22:43
Ed said last week that the player would be keen if the deal can be agreed between the two clubs.

2.) 31 Jul 2019 16:31:35
A think he wants to go the wee man just doesn’t have the heart to come out and say it.

3.) 31 Jul 2019 16:51:28
See that's what I was thinking, he might think he's letting the fans down but on the other hand I'm thinking is it the club trying to force a move. Just can't wrap my head around why he's want to leave when the club are on the brink of making more history with 9iar, any Celt would want to be apart of and at 22 he's still got 10+ years still in him, just don't get it.

4.) 31 Jul 2019 17:25:07
Tam saying he has ten years ahead of him but he like every player could be one nasty challenge from never playing again or never being the same player again.

5.) 31 Jul 2019 18:40:17
Its easy to say we'd never leave but until your in the position u never know, he probably said the same as all of us before he made it.

6.) 31 Jul 2019 18:44:06
Tambow I completely understand where you're coming from but he must be looking at Andy Robertson going to England, performing well and winning the CL within 3/ 4 years while also taking his place in the national team. He's every bit as good as Robertson and it would only hold back his development another 2 seasons to stay in Scotland, as much as it's a shame for KT and us supporters.

7.) 31 Jul 2019 18:50:59
if ye put it like that kev best having the nasty challenge helping yer boyhood club acheiveing 10 than helping arsenal get top 4.

8.) 31 Jul 2019 19:07:59
Kev83, stephbhoy2 and kevbhoy a get what you mean, tripling your wages isn't something anyone could probably refuse, just can't understand going to arsenal. If it was Liverpool Man city or even spurs, they're all teams on the up but arsenal? Money isn't everything just look at Larrson, had countless chances to move for more money but stayed longer than most expected and now is classes as a legend. Me personally I'd rather stay with the club I've supported all my life who are still going to make me very wealthy and maybe achieve the status of being called a legend, but that's just my opinion.

9.) 31 Jul 2019 19:34:09
If he stays which looks unlikely, it would be hypocritical of him to pick up his megaphone next season. The adulation he received of the fans is second to none and he won’t ever receive it again from any other fans. His silence is deafening for me, his head has definitely been turned. The same people who said he needs to go to arsenal to improve have been on here loads of times slagging the premier league off as a big fraud. Yes they have good sides down there and he will be up against better opposition but for every city / Liverpool there is a Cardiff / Sheffield Utd / Brighton type .

10.) 31 Jul 2019 20:01:57
A 4 or 5 year contract at 75k a week and good luck to him. He will just be hitting his peak at 27.He will return 1 day and would be welcomed with open arms.

11.) 31 Jul 2019 20:47:11
@pud return when pud when hese 32 or 33 and none of the teams down south want him anymore because he is finished. soon as he signs for arsenal we will never be able to afford him his price will go up soon as he goes down south. returning when hese gave his best years to clubs down south and hese finished that is the only way we will ever see him back in the hoops or if he does not cut it down there and he crawls back to us.

12.) 31 Jul 2019 20:50:10
Sorry pud but can't see him coming back, even if he was over the hill and only had a few year left in him, If he's getting offered £75k from arsenal the now he could move again in a few year to say city and then be on even more money, say £100k plus, he'd never take a massive drop in wages to come back and tbh not many players ever hit the heights when they come back.

13.) 31 Jul 2019 20:57:58
Spot on UI, I'm a great believer that players shouldn't return after they've left, they very rarely come back the same or better.

14.) 31 Jul 2019 23:00:43
I genuinely don't think it's about cash with KT.
I think it's about ambition and reaching the top of world football.

I believe he us a better player than Robertson and can go as far, if not further than him.

People talking about Larsson have to see it's a different day and age from then.
When Larsson played we could compete with the superpowers. Money hadn't opened up the chasm it has now.
Larsson was able to regularly beat the big team and had chance to play in European final

KT won't get that at parkhead now.

As for the rubbish he won't win anything at arsenal.
We heard same nonsense about VVD and wanyama and both were involved in the champions league final this year.
The gunners will be a stepping stone to KT IMO.

15.) 01 Aug 2019 08:40:21
I heard that KT wanted the move to Everton last season.

11 Jan 2019 21:54:09
All over twitter that Celtic have agreed to sign Scott McKenna £4M, ed please tell me this is Shiite.

Tambow40

{Ed007's Note - Celtic are interested as we know but Aberdeen are adamant he's not for sale and certainly not for that amount - I'd ignore any talk about swap deals etc and avoid Twitter in general when it comes to football rumours.}

1.) 11 Jan 2019 23:15:03
Cheers ed 👍🏼.

2.) 11 Jan 2019 23:25:02
I really woildnt be happy with that to be honest.

3.) 11 Jan 2019 23:53:48
Is that after BR said no big money was getting spent this month?

4.) 12 Jan 2019 00:01:47
hope not. Never a £4 million pound player for me never mind more.

5.) 12 Jan 2019 00:11:33
We’ll be lucky if 4 million gets spent in total never mind on a diddy like McKenna! Guys nowhere near good enough!

6.) 12 Jan 2019 03:06:13
No big money being spent? Have u not heard the rangers are coming.

7.) 12 Jan 2019 09:48:18
Think he was more talking like the 9 million again rich t.
4 million isn't big money now a days.

8.) 11 Jan 2019 23:04:34
ED. Mentions of the Norwegian right back from Olympiakos, is this paper talk?

Is there any more interest in Castagne? Apparently we have a list of players and Brendan is getting his “war chest” this winter due to the club failing to deliver signings in the summer.

{Ed007's Note - There's definite interest in both players but Castagne is probably out of our price range.}

9.) 11 Jan 2019 23:51:39
They would not sell for that price could it be to get others interested possibly coming leaked by Agents Ed?

{Ed007's Note - I doubt it, Aberdeen don't want to sell McKenna.}

10.) 12 Jan 2019 00:15:14
Eds are there any updates on the Americans Gutman and Perez? X.

{Ed007's Note - It looks like it's just a case of crossing the I's and dotting the Ts on both deals.}

11.) 12 Jan 2019 11:21:15
Do you rate either of them Ed.

{Ed007's Note - I really don't know enough about them, Shug, sorry.}

Ed, what’s your opinion on Perez and Gutman? It appears to me that Gutman will be back up to KT, but with this hip injury, is he good enough to slot straight in? Perez seems like one for the future, heard he may be loaned straight out?

Not one for doom and gloom, but Andy Murray retiring with his hip injury has me sh*tting myself about KT and that we may need a more ready made understudy, I. e. Meling from Rosenborg.

{Ed007's Note - I've not really got an opinion on them but I'm hoping Gutman's arrival means Izaguirre's departure is imminent.
Can a player that played in the US College football set-up be good enough to come straight into the Celtic team - I doubt it myself and would rather see what Calvin Miller can do while KT's out.}

13.) 12 Jan 2019 12:02:53
Is the college system not like the second teir, or is it more to do with age? Just wondering why he wasn't already playing mls.

{Ed007's Note - I'm not too sure and a lot of my guesswork is based on watching films like Boyz in the Hood but I think you would go from graduating college into the MLS draft like happens in the NBA and NFL.
So if you're a kid good at a sport you get a scholarship to college - and if you're really good you have all the top colleges fighting over you - and that's you a student for the next 4 years. All the pro clubs scout the college teams for the next big stars and every year there's a draft where the pro clubs try and get the college players they want.
I honestly don't think it's any slight on the lad that he wasn't playing in the MLS yet, a lot of the players in the top league came through that system.}

Think people are flapping a little at BR comments. We won't sign players that are quoted in the Castagne price bracket. There will still be money spent. Far too many stealing a wage so some will need moving on to free up wages for new additions. BR needs to be ruthless on who he wants rid of. Surely need to get rid of De Vries, Compper, Gamboa, Izzy (expected with Gutman arrival? ) Allan, Benyu. Then there's talks of loaning out Hendry, Mulumbu (possible sale) Morgan. Then possibility of cashing in on Boyata. That'll free up around 80-100 grand in wages (guess) so we can concentrate on getting in a RB and CB before window closes. Most targets leave their options open until late in window to see what's available so our main targets won't make a decision until then. If we get in a decent RB and CB and get rid of the deadwood then I'd say it's been our best window in a long time and puts us further away from Rangers. Then come summer our biggest worry is replacing Benkovic and Gordon.

Have you lost all patience with Izzy ed? I loved the boy from his first spell, but it’s clear that he has regressed so far since then that he shouldn’t be near our first team. Do you know if he got his collar majorly felt at half time against Aberdeen? On seeing him peering out of the tunnel in the 2nd half I said to my pals at the time, that’ll be the last we see of him.

Very likable lad right enough.

{Ed007's Note - I'm just the same as you, Kev, great player when he was here but he's went backwards and fans only want him here through sentimentality.}

16.) 12 Jan 2019 18:21:53
Ha ha can’t believe no one bit on that Ed😃.

17.) 12 Jan 2019 17:29:03
Talking about the college system again, would that be the league that guys from here would play in if they got a scholarship over there? If it is then the standard of football can't be good, that's guys a used to play against, doesn't fill me with confidence but I'm willing to give these lads a chance.

18.) 12 Jan 2019 18:16:07
Totally agree with you Ed, that coming out of college these bhoys are highly unlikely to slot right into the Celtic team. On saying that, they’ll likely be on a par with some of the lower end clubs in terms of fitness, nutrition, strength etc.

Also, because they’re walking out of university with a degree, the big challenge is. do they try and slot into a long term career in hopes of quickly moving up the ladder, or do they chance the MLS where they’ll potentially be a back up player, making minimum MLS wage and hoping they can avoid injury for the next 10years and hopefully get a career within the game after that. In Scotland you make that decision at 16, in the US you tend to see it at a latter stage, with a more difficult decision. Obviously when a European team comes knocking on your door it’s a different ball game, but just throwing a thought out there as to why they might not be automatically moving to an MLS team.

I wouldn't be surprised if we tried to sell Sinclair this summer, he's 30 a year left on his contact and must be on good money and tbf he's never hit the height of his first season.

Meant to say Edd.

{Ed007's Note - I was told it was a stewarding company they had contacted. It could be for a Bank Holiday trophy parade/presentation or it could have something to do with the derig after the rugby.

Think it was lead boots Kev, the whole team looked slow and sluggish.

I've read he's a left footer who prefers to play down the right, hoping he's maybe in the same mould as paddy Roberts, someone full of tricks and can light up a match.

Spot on UI, I'm a great believer that players shouldn't return after they've left, they very rarely come back the same or better.

McKenna is a cart horse IMO, no speed and for a guy well over 6ft and must weigh in the region on 16st, I'd expect that type of defender to be out jumping and out muscling most strikers and he doesnt, it's a big no from me.
