How big a risk is it to change manager this year? Will lenny get it right or will PL have the balls to change gaffers. We have the best squad of players for a while but really need to click big style soon or some new guidance. We are living game by game hoping the next game is the one where we will start to play.

Leave Lenny but ask Martin O’Neil to come in and help for rest of season.

2.) 24 Sep 2020 23:53:33
If we'd got beat tonite we might have found out. Probably not, alas. Lenny needs to step up or move off the pot. This team is capable of so much more its genuinely sad.

3.) 25 Sep 2020 00:27:22
It's similar to the start of BR's last season. We played really poorly but were still grinding out results and were just hoping there would be that one game when it all clicks into place. Tbh I felt we would have pushed on a bit after Ross County but it hasn't worked out that way.

4.) 25 Sep 2020 08:04:48
I said the same about Rodgers last season but didn't get put up. Difference is we are grinding out wins this season when we were drawing that season. Also said hibs will beat us if we play like that. Taylor never a left wing back and rogic is our best 10. Forget all this Christie or Ntcham nonsense. Big tam is creative. Christie runs about and Ntcham does next to nothing.

5.) 25 Sep 2020 08:06:04
I think Dermot Desmond will make the decision, he hardly ever said anything when we were playing good football and winning 9iar, but a slow start, out of champs league again and he's commenting in the papers. Don't think he's a happy chappy and one more bad result will see Lennon kicked out. DD will probably already have someone sounded out for the gig, Martin O'Neill?

6.) 25 Sep 2020 10:19:24
As much as it's not clicking just now one result and Lennon is out us a bit harsh. We r all frustrated but we have lost one game against an average team who got lucky. let's not turn into sevco fans. There opinion on sloppy changes every week. Lenny wasnt my choice, wasnt most peoples choice, but has done a good job. His win percentage since he came back is incredible.

Manager not good enough or players not trying.? . Here's what should have happened- first choice striker injured, 2nd choice not quite ready, 3rd and 4th not trusted or available. Plan B kicks in and fletcher or cosgrove plays no9 as focal point, roughs them up and let's others play their natural game. They don't appear to be everyone's cup of tea but I bet most would have settled for one of them in the squad last night.

Cosgrove's injured. He wouldn't have added too much. HH.

2.) 28 Aug 2020 07:53:07
Besty I think he was meaning on terms of a principle.

Biggest problem is we have strongest squad in country but no real competition for first 11. There needs to be 5 or 6 players that can push for starts. Ajer, Forrest, Moi, especially need players breathing down there necks from the bench. We don't have it yet. Brown, Cal mac, Christie can have off days but more often they will produce. Some are too lacksidasical and need benched.

Ed- do you think we have an agreement with Motherwell for Turnbull. Rogic clearly isn't the answer, Ntcham will most likely be off. Christie/ Turnbull competing for no10? Ultimately despite last night i think Christie could be Browns successor. I see similarities with a young Broonys energy and drive which can be coached into a more disciplined deeper role.

TBC-tamboydcommentary

{Ed007's Note - There's no agreement in place but I expect us to go back in for Turnbull in the summer.}

1.) 21 Feb 2020 17:14:17
Remember when Broony was injured Christie and CalMac broght a dynamism to the central midfield that was lacking when Brown was there.

2.) 21 Feb 2020 17:57:33
It's a pity Christie is unavailable next week in Europe, if Brown is injured it would have been the ideal time to prove my point that Brown stifles the creativity of the midfield by his presence, or disprove it.

3.) 21 Feb 2020 18:05:08
Personally I see Calmac taking over from Broony (as captain also) as long as we don't get a crazy bid for him. Christie - is still a bit lightweight - so much better in and around the opposing penalty box.
I am also looking forward to seeing Soro to see what he offers?

4.) 21 Feb 2020 19:03:05
Don't believe Christie has the attributes to take over from Brown. McGregor is a no brainer for that role.

5.) 21 Feb 2020 19:26:36
for me christies best game in a celtic jersey was in a deeper lying role last year v leipzig he was outstanding he could easily play there.

6.) 21 Feb 2020 20:50:34
Christie is best at 10. He's too clumsy in the tackle to play in a CDM role.

7.) 21 Feb 2020 22:08:25
Rogic isn't the answer but turnbull is😂😂 Rogic is 100 times the player Turnbull is and I've never seen Turnbull play😂😂😂.

8.) 21 Feb 2020 22:23:25
Callums a great player but he can't tackle and ain't the hardest so imo he can't do the job broony does totally different players.

9.) 21 Feb 2020 23:44:42
If you haven't seen turnbull play then you can't comment. Rogic is the biggest myth at celtic its embarrassing the way some fans seem to think he is some world beater. Im sure the boy turnbull scored more goals in half a day season than rogic has in a full season.

10.) 22 Feb 2020 00:11:36
no body can do what broony does. that is why he is our captain and one of our all time greats. we will never fill his boots, but we will get a new captain. god bless you Scot brown.

11.) 22 Feb 2020 14:11:52
Rogic should be punted in the summer. Miles behind the likes of Christie.

12.) 22 Feb 2020 15:34:22
I agree with the guys who think Christie in for Brown would be a good idea going forward. I to remember the dynamism (is that a word? ) When he played there with Calmac. Replacing brown will probably not be a like for like. Christie, I agree can't do the defensive side as well as brown, but he will offer way more going forward. He offers his own attributes. he will run and chase till he drops, hez tenacious, and he has real ability and a good footballing brain. Another Brown? No definitely not he's a one off. A new Christie however? Anyway he will be 10 on Sunday with Nchamp in Browns shoes for all that sheit I just spouted! 😁.

13.) 22 Feb 2020 22:16:05
Aindoh did u not see the state of the midfield on thursday when brown went off? Outfought for the rest of the game, nobody will fill his boots when he retires. We will move on and find other midfielders but the likes of brown are not easy to find or affordable.

14.) 22 Feb 2020 22:29:05
Stephbhoy2 - that's because Bitton came on and hadn't a clue.

Playing Taylor at the weekend will be a bit harsh on Hayes but we know what JH can do. We know BB has now settled well. If Taylor makes a mark then having 3 LBs that can come in without concern is a great piece of squad management.

TBC-tamboydcommentary

1.) 22 Nov 2019 10:51:39
I don't think it would be harsh on Hayes. Greg Taylor is an international LB. Johnny Hayes is a winger who has done well covering at LB when we were a bit short. He's a good, reliable utility player to have in the squad but we shouldn't be halting the progress of Taylor, who's a natural in the position and who cost a decent fee, because Hayes gives his all.

2.) 22 Nov 2019 12:37:16
You've got to play Ayers in there positions and Taylor is a lb and hayes isn't.

So IF we could play the games again. Cluj, Copenhagen and ferencvaros. Would we have a better chance with stevie Clark in charge or NL?

I reckon Browns replacement could be Christie. Brown played more advanced in his early days and RC has same appetite and engine and could easily follow browns path to midfield general. I think there is a better chance of holding on to him since he was from ICT and a bit of a late ish developer into our team. He can also put himself about.

VW as broonys replacement is a no from me. Good player, MAY still do a job, to expensive long term. SB replacement should be someone long term, Scottish, loves club or will love the club. Christie can emulate SB Celtic career by moving back step by step as a midfield general.

I know we don't want to be tinkering too much and playing players out of position but I think we could try Ajer in Browns position and move El Hamed in beside Jullian with Bauer at RB. Big Ajer can shield the back line and we've seen him driving forward to good effect. Jullian and El Hamed would be a defensive brick wall.

I'd rather have quality for a short period than ordinariness and being stuck with it. What if Sinky came on 1 year loan, played a blinder in his first season as he did, then we replaced him with another that did the same. If we can buy or bring through 7 or 8 quality players then supplement with quality loans- I'm cool with that.

McKenna can head a ball. As evidence tonight shows again, we cannot defend simple crosses. If we left him go to England we will end up with another foreign defender that will be a toss of a coin whether he's any good or not.
