Ed, JFP, Gerry and Greg "the anorak". Just listened to the last pod cast. Great stuff from the best Chinese on the way to JFPs caravan. Gerry not seeing his feet in the shower and the anorak noticing the Sevconian sub not warming up.

Ed those quips and JFP empires crumbling within is so right. Just because you wear a suit doesn't mean your clever I sat in a meeting after listening to that and was sitting chuckling.

On a footballing note from a position of power we should not lift our foot by Shankland and Miovski pay the money speculate to accumulate. The pot of gold is at the end of the season we need to deliver.

The drive to work and home stuck in Birmingham traffic is fun catching up listening to you guys. Will try to join more in the live chat and Bobby I will press the like button.

{Ed007's Note - Thanks very much, Sean, we're glad you and so many others are enjoying the podcast ?All we need now is Celtic to get their finger out and give us something to talk about!}

Cheers Sean

We’d a good craic on the podcast before the last one after the rangers game as well if you’ve a long drive it’s always a hoot!

The livechat is where the nearly sane gather during a game bonkers!

Ed: it would indeed be good if Celtic gave us something to talk about but you could add ‘The Meltdown’, ‘The Bellahouston Conspiracy’ and ‘The Unseen Fenian Hand’ to the agenda.

They have totally and utterly lost the plot this time. ?

PS: I replied to your email.

{Ed007's Note - ??

Just listened to the podcast following the 2 - 1 victory over the secco. Ed, Gerry, JFP I know I missed one but brilliant. Debate on midfielders only one winner The Maestro Mcstay. We had some belters in midfield in our times Dom Sullivan, Big Sinclair and others. But only one Mcstay.

JFP the discussion on the country needing to change or admit we have a problem has to happen. I grew up in a wee village Blackwood just South of Larkhall it was mad our CSC was a minibus. I remember the council painted the doors and fences around the parks a different color there was uproar had to paint them back to red, white and blue. A crazy place some pubs I couldn't drink in because everyone knew I was in their words a fenian person. Great days lol

Living down in Birmingham now and try to explain to my boys the way it was they laugh can't understand how animated I get watching us beat them.

Feckn magic Sean.

God Bless. jfp.

5.) 05 Jan 2024 22:12:26
Enrico,
Peter Grant was very committed to Celtic over the years, he did all the dirty work to allow McStay to perform his magic.

As a youngster, he made his debut at Ibrox under Davie Hay.
Not many youngsters would be trusted to make their debut away to our rivals but Peter had that 100% commitment.

Sevco keep scoring and getting points against teams we have struggled with. The question is why? I hear we have better players and squad yet they perform in Europe. We are very poor and we panic from free flowing to poor since even when Anges reign was finishing. Unforgivable by the board and the players should not get off Scot free. Oh yes Abada doesn’t want to play well I saw another 7 or 8 yesterday who would be better of not playing.

Ed fair comments and don’t disagree with anything you have said at all. Your very last sentence is one I’ve used many a time. I for one like many would love to see him back in top form win the league then he can go where he wants.

I would also love players to have a backbone and when they go say why they left.

Love the intelligent/ witty/ comments / discussions/ football facts and most of all genuine love for our team on this forum and the podcast.

{Ed007's Note - Cheers, Sean ?

I have my own views on Israel having worked there unlike anywhere else I’ve worked. Me I’ve seen all sorts of flags being waved and maybe jeez probably on a few marches back in the day when at Uni long time ago. Pulling a sickie I guess you’re a bit like me but mental health/ well being is the rage these days. We are Celtic fans and football is our passion and we don’t understand when someone doesn’t want to play for our team. This is his job like we all have and the pressure he may be feeling is perhaps something we don’t understand.

Sean66

{Ed007's Note - I'm not putting down anyone with mental health problems, Sean as I've been quite open with my own struggles on that front, but let's look at it realistically from a back in the day perspective my dad always said to me - money doesn't make you happy but it makes the misery more bearable.
If Abada doesn't want to play for Celtic, grow a pair, come out and say it say and why you don't and then say you don't want to earn another dime of the Club, as you agree, it's his job and he's basically refusing to do it and hasn't given a reasonable reason, at least publicly, why.
See if him doing his job meant the difference between eating or heating his house would he be pulling the same stunt?}

Really you don’t see his issue. When he looks out and sees people waving Palestinian flags no matter if knows people don’t hate him personally he must feel something. I’m not saying what is right or wrong or what people should support or not. But some people are not mentally strong.

Sean66

{Ed007's Note - Celtic fans were flying Palestinian flags long before Abada was here - and will long after he's gone - and it didn't bother him when he signed his new bumper contract a few months ago, a contract he is still being fully paid on while he basically refuses to do the job he is being paid for.
We've seen the support for Palestine all over social media from clubs across the globe, has it affected any other player the way it has Abada, look at Ukrainian and Russian players, any them pulled a sickie that we know of?
Basically we're going down the road of people being offended with flags, not so long ago and even now some people in Scotland are offended by the Irish flag, it wasn't only 2 years or so ago there was uproar over Celtic fans and pubs flying the Japanese flag.
And for the record, it's the actual "war" that is affecting Abada, there is no mention of anything the Club or support has done.
Who knows, maybe he is actually torn over what his country is doing and he is struggling to justify to himself and his beliefs what Israel are doing, maybe the Celtic support has opened his eyes......

Must admit I liked Mooy thought he did a job for us playing with Hatate and Cal Mac. Bernardo may come good a goal against them doesn’t make you a player missed a sitter on Saturday and thought he was in general poor. Palma must be the slowest winger he showed he has two feet but cutting in omg. Taylor if he scored penalties like Tav we would say great attacking fb but he continues to be the one to pick on really missed him on Saturday.

Going back to Mooy he did his job at the time no point reflecting on where or if he would play he’s not here so we make the most of what we have and there are some good MFs there.

Sean66

{Ed007's Note - Our star striker - "The best since Larsson" according to some - has missed worst sitters than Bernardo's on Saturday.}
