Young Goalkeeper Tobi Oluwayemi subject to interest from both St Johnstone and St Mirren.

Looks like a loan move could be on the cards highly regarded at Celtic.

This would be an excellent opportunity for him, He would be our B team keeper again barring a crisis with Hart, Seigrist and Bain. Initially thought he might have got few cup games before we bought Benji Seigrist.

2.) 18 Jul 2022 16:00:33
We wouldn't/ shouldn't sell this lad therefore it would likely be a loan deal.

☘️ ? ☘️.

3.) 18 Jul 2022 16:25:26
Has anyone checked to see if Paul is ok.

{Ed007's Note - I'm trying to get hold of him, I hope he's OK! ?

Celtic continuing the clear the dead wood within the squad with Liam Shaw close to leaving on loan to a League 1 club in England.

PaddyDoc

1.) 17 Jul 2022 11:11:00
And big unreghard could go as well.

2.) 17 Jul 2022 11:57:39
I’m a bit worried about the squad depth. If one of our players get injured across the board apart from our RB/ LBs we are noticeably weaker. Wingers n Midfielders probably the biggest issue.

Unless we are calling on the youth players to step up a level or two we will be goosed. I think we need 3/ 4 players to improve the squad.

CB if Jullien leaves. 2x CM. A striker/ winger.

3.) 17 Jul 2022 14:48:18
KenLikeEh,

I don't see how we are weaker and here's why.

GK - we've got 3 senior goalies + young Tobi (Bain may leave)

RB and LB - 2 players for each position (as you've rightly said) .

CB - we should have 4 options, CCV, Starfelt, Welsh + new signing. (Julien may leave)

Midfield - we've lost Rogic and Bitton. Ideguchi will get more minutes this season and it's likely we'll bring in a CDM.

Wingers/ wide players; Jota, Forrest, Johnston and Maeda.

Strikers - 2 + young Kenny.

Baring in mind Ange said yesterday we're close to signing two players before this window closes.

☘️ ? ☘️.

4.) 17 Jul 2022 15:21:24
Plus we've got Abada Pedro who can play on the wing or up top if need be.

5.) 17 Jul 2022 16:25:00
GS,

how did I forget about Abada - DOH!
What a debut season he had

☘️ ? ☘️.

6.) 17 Jul 2022 17:02:33
Young Abada is a great wee player, his stats are almost identical to Jota's but Abada doesn't get mentioned as much because he is more direct and is less flashy.

7.) 17 Jul 2022 19:47:45
Or in my case Jonbhoy, because I had a late night, last night ? ?

Edouard Michut PSG midfielder, Celtic supposedly making a bid of roughly 2 Million Euro totally out of the blue this one.

PaddyDoc

1.) 13 Jul 2022 11:28:43
Means wee can bring the I want to be Édouard song back good signing lol .

2.) 13 Jul 2022 11:33:25
Yep saw that just shows we all know nowt ?.

3.) 13 Jul 2022 12:57:51
Hoping for a quick deal - but I heard 'these Michut nights are the longest'.

4.) 13 Jul 2022 13:20:08
Hope this isn’t a Cliff hanger!

5.) 13 Jul 2022 14:56:52
If we get that young boy it will come with a substantial sell on clause. Will be a good signing if it materialises.

6.) 13 Jul 2022 18:19:29
I don't know why we are going for him or him wanting to come to us as from what I know about him he is an attacking midfield player NOT a holding player he wants first team football we have good attacking midfield players already he would have to be something special to get into the first team and keep their it just seems a strange one.

7.) 13 Jul 2022 18:47:51
Really hope he signs cause I have " A want to be Edouard ? t-shirt I cannot wear. ?.

8.) 14 Jul 2022 07:36:55
Ange has quashed this rumour so it's all over.

9.) 14 Jul 2022 07:38:02
Ange was asked directly about the bhoy and said . good player but no.

12 Jul 2022 17:26:35
Boli Gone back to Belgium.

Albian Ajeti turned down a loan move back to Switzerland with St Gallen.

Wage bill getting trimmed with each move outwards.

Still expect Juillien and Ajeti to move on before window shuts. Bain was subject to interest from Aberdeen earlier in the window so potentially could see him move on.

2/ 3 more incomings before close of window.

PaddyDoc

{Ed007's Note - Bain has been in talks with Dundee Utd.}

1.) 12 Jul 2022 17:38:19
If we clear Ajeti n Jullien from the wage bill that would be a combined £38,000 per week in wages. Think Bain is on around 7.5k per week at Celtic?

All in all it looks like we’ve cleared around 100k from the wage bill. But we still need to replaced some of those players. Talking another 3/ 4 first team players I think.

2.) 12 Jul 2022 18:06:12
Good stuff regarding boli, we're getting there.

3.) 12 Jul 2022 19:07:20
Glad to eventually see a permanent departure, but the club are doing all they can to clear the deadwood and make room for new faces. Bolingoli going AWOL was one of the catalysts for the self-destruct shambolic season, so bye bye Boli.

4.) 12 Jul 2022 19:23:34
Personally I'm over the moon that Bolingoli has left Celtic.

He should never have been allowed to set foot back in our club having put his team mates, club staff and others at risk due to his disgraceful behaviour at height of C.V.

Many of us lost loved ones and have suffered in many different ways due to C.V.

I think it was a huge mistake by Ange when he brought him back into the squad / team.

Others may have a different opinion.

?.

5.) 12 Jul 2022 20:38:33
Brian, well said ?.

{Ed007's Note - I totally agree regarding Bolingoli's behaviour but I think that blaming him for the way that season went is wide of the mark. It was the decision to appoint NL - and stick with him - that caused ALL of our problems.}

6.) 12 Jul 2022 21:09:13
Amen ?

☘️ ? ☘️.

7.) 12 Jul 2022 21:30:44
Never actually blamed him; but his disruption, disobedience and disregard for CV regulations was a factor in our disarray and the subsequent pillory and suspension of fixtures, in what was a catalogue of errors.

8.) 13 Jul 2022 02:49:44
Neil Lennon isn't a good manager. He did us a job when the rat left but the board let us down giving him the job permanently.
Neil has done a lot for Celtic over the last 20 odd year's. So is due some respect.

9.) 13 Jul 2022 08:40:43
Boil should never have been bought. But, it wasn’t his fault for that shambles of a season. That was years of complacency, dithering and failure to bring in decent players. It was in the post.

09 Jul 2022 10:22:01
As I said earlier in the week Souza will be signing for a La Liga club. Ange only wants players who want to be at the club.

Ange has identified a CB and CDM to come in before the end of the window.

Larsson talk is purely media speculation due to his fathers connection with the club.

Once Celtic have their 2 signings over the line no more business unless players leave. Ange is willing to give Lawal and Kenny first team opportunities as the season goes on.

JJ is attracting interest but has informed Celtic he is content.

Expect Chris Jullien to leave before window shuts.

Ismailia Soro has interest from clubs in Portugal, Holland and English Championship looking likely to be a loan with option to buy.

sounds about right mate that's all that's needed and the youth to be gave there chance and add to the squad depth.

2.) 09 Jul 2022 11:14:52
Paddy you related to ange ?.

3.) 09 Jul 2022 11:56:45

5.) 09 Jul 2022 19:21:59
Anything on Ajeti?

6.) 09 Jul 2022 19:38:15
Abu Fani has been mentioned again for cdm. Not seen him much, but remember him showing up well against Scotland.

7.) 09 Jul 2022 20:40:06
He'd be a new Irn Bru advert in the making.

May hope nobody picks up on the Moritz Jenz interview with Celtic TV where he said he took a phone call from Ange 2 weeks ago.

I said on here about Ange making a call to Souza and was told that was tapping up a player.

Celtic tried desperately hard to get Souza, guy didn't fancy Scottish football unfortunately.

PaddyDoc

{Ed007's Note - If Celtic are in talks with a players club and have their permission they can talk to the player. If anyone from any club just calls up a player to discuss a transfer then that's an illegal approach or "tapping up".
It's the rules of the game, go and read up on them, Chelsea/Mourinho were found guilty of it when they signed Ashley Cole, Liverpool have been dragged over the coals a few times for it.
So I stand by what I said, Ange can't just phone up a player to try and talk to him about signing, it's illegal in football, it would tarnish Ange and Celtic's reputation in the game and I don't think for a minute Ange is the type of guy to make such a sneaky and dishonest move.
If you think the Celtic manager is a cheat that's up to you but I'm not going to allow anyone on here call him that through their ignorance of the rules of the game and how transfers work.}

1.) 20 Jul 2022 11:19:06
Agreed.
No way he's all about rules.

{Ed007's Note - If another club has spoken to a player without permission then that's tapping up. Informal talks between agents about Player X moving to Team A isn't seen as tapping up.
The process of how transfers work should be along the lines of: Clubs will typically informally ask an agent (a) if the player is going to be available, and (b) would the player consider a move to the club. There may be some broad discussion on the sort of deal that would be offered but no more than that. If the answer is yes, it is then necessary for the club to approach the player's club to ask if they would be willing to sell and if they would grant permission to speak to a player's agent formally about a transfer and possibly even the player about actually making a move. This will typically involve either broadly (through an offer) or actually agreeing a fee and responsibility for any significant costs (agents fees etc.). Once this has happened the club will be able to speak to the player's agent and perhaps the player himself to look at the package that will be involved. Many players are looked at and discussed at a high-level with agents and clubs; a subset of those have an offer placed; a subset of those involve discussions with the player's club; a subset of those involve discussions over terms, and; a subset of those go ahead.
Agents will often try and get more specific details of wages and other financials before they should - but most clubs are happy to follow this process. Players will often talk to other players about moves but, whilst wrong, is tolerated as it would be impossible to manage.}

Celtic are entitled to do what they want once they’ve made a bid for the player. Player was given permission to talk to Celtic and several other clubs including 2 Dutch clubs.

No rules broken Ange is above board with everything he does.

PaddyDoc

{Ed007's Note - That's not how it works and that's why players have agents.}

Magic I totally agree we are in dire need of another CB, however I was only passing on a text message I had received.

I think there’s at least 3 more bodies due in along with 4/ 5 out goings.
