Why if we are so mad to get paddy back where he belongs why are we taking so long to do it. I not sure l believe all the stuff about having to wait for city. We surely have the money from last year champions league, season tickets and all the money from merchandise. I simple think it's the board just trying to make it look like they are after him and when saints sign him there will be all the rubbish from them that follows. They say they want to get to the last 16!. With the greatest of respect we got Hayes and the lad from ipswich. Spend the money now and sign him. The same with a CB.

Paddy has always said he wanted to go back to city and do pre season and see what plans they have for
Plus we have signed more than Hayes and a bhoys far Ipswich. We bought a bhoys fae City for over 4 million.

I hope it may just be a version of negotiating from a position of strength. However, banking on the strategy that City (and others) rule him out is daft given what we've seen of him. Certainly if I were city I'd look at our present dilemma and say hold the horses.

If I were City I would have been in contact by now, in fact I'm SURE that City would have informed all interested parties there intentions.
If selling, Clubs submit bids, poss negotiate then allow talks with Player (Agent)
If Fee was accepted from more than 1 Club, obviously it just comes down to WAGES. Or he's waiting until total Qualification to CL!

Absolutely agree Oscar161. If we end up in Europa then Dembelle will go Roberts will go to bottom half of EPL and the board will give Brendan money to spend BUT HOW MUCH?
imo could see Rodgers given a Transfer Kitty of around 10m.
Bare in mind we need to replace MD and bring in another PR. A Centre Half needed also!
To me that's our 10m spent outwith any Players Rodgers has an eye for in the 500k bracket + any loans BR has up his sleeve from top sides in EPL.

Would like to have brought in more Oscar but I also know that's not always possible
1- manager said he would bring in a few then wait till near the end because more quality players become available
2- some of said quality players don't want to come till they see if we are in champions league.
I would rather wait on they quality players the manager wants rather than buy a lesser player just for the sake of buying a player.

I know kev. I am all for only bringing in quality players rather than numbers as we have done in the past. My only concern is we need quality to get into the champions league group stage. Yes we have quality in the squad but with injuries we are thin in certain positions eg CF and CB. All being fit l would be very confident. But if griffs is out we go into a massive game with no CF. And we saw where that got us last week. Not sure what young jack must be thinking. Surely he was worth a start against Sunderland unless he is out with an injury.

Appointing a youth team coach hasn't worked out for them with Murty so I doubt they would make the same mistake again. In saying that, it is just one hilarious blunder after another over there so fingers crossed they might just do it.}

Personally would love to beat hibs and secure the title and then see if the huns do a guard of honour at parkhead. If l am not mistaken l remember when they won in the championship they were looking for one from ever team they played after winning it up. Just love to rub their face in it. Plus if they didn't then surely that mean no one needs to anymore.

Boyata starting again tonight with Ajer this time on the bench. Thought after he was taken off in the last game that was it for him. Can't believe he is staring again.

Like really like lustig kev. He has been a great servant to celtic but he has struggled badly this year. He has been no where near the player he has been for the past few seasons. Would love to see him turn it around. I still stand what l said about boyata. Hendry is a better defender.

Would agree with you OaB. Let's just win the game first and foremost. I like your confidence JFB but l can't see them being as bad as last time plus l am sure Scott Brown comments will have touched a nerve with them. Just hope there is nothing more said by us and let the football do the talking.

Would think you are right rich with your team. I wonder does BR prefer forrest for his defence side of the game. Paddy seems to be his man for the last 20 min's. Only other one is bains over Gordon but l think Gordon's shot stopping against them this season will edge it. But someone needs to tell him he can't pass it and just clear his lines. Him and boyata scare the life out of me when they start passing it about. Any win will do for me.

Saw the brown comments too and thought to myself that we are at our best when we say nothing and let our feet do the talking. Have to agree with you Once a Bhoy. We all think the same but after last week performance by most of the team we need to do what we have before all the previous old firm game and let them shout all they want and us then play them off the park.
