After last nights display we collectively need to hang our heads in shame . I don't know how we have allowed standards that were never good to drop so low .
As a club we, from the Board at the top to o fans who keep the game alive by buying season tickets and paying for individual matches.
If McLean and Beaton are examples of top of the range of Scottish referees and VAR officials we are in serious trouble. Right through last night's game ref McLean refused to involve himself when Aberdeen were dishing out the rough stuff. When head injuries or late and dangerous tackles that could result in a long time injury . When Hatate received brutal tackle Mc Lean stayed far away in centre circle . Earlier McGowan was down with a head injury and instead of stopping the game as per instructions when faced with head injury . McLean kept looking towards goal for some reason, as ball wasn't even there .
The basic requirement by referee is to protect players and try to keep them injury free, when faced against teams like Sevco and Aberdeen who will hit opponent as often as ball.

I honestly can't remember so many bigots in black on the grade one list and I reca Bobby Davidson, Gordon, Waddell and McCluskey. Apparently there are over 20 registered referees, but for some reason only William of Collum can answer we seem to get a nucleus of 4-8 bitter wee runts throughout the whole season.

Maybe he is coming as player pathway to first team, to give him an opportunity to closely examine our complete set up with the idea of becoming Director of Football, by next summer at latest .
I think he has the experience, knowledge to be very successful at the top at Celtic.

He must have some top qualities. I don’t think we would be chasing a Haoanese player for the craic . It’s not like when Ange was here when we were buying Japanese players by the car load.

Many seem to like ridiculing and criticising Irish players now and in the past .
If it hadn’t been for Irish shareholders pre Fergus McCann, Celtic shares would have been available for very little . During late 40’s, 50’s and early 60’s most of the Celtic players went to these shareholders for close season on their summer holidays. Whether some fans likes us or not Irish people have always played a major role with Celtic .
Without the Irish influence Celtic would be something similar to M’wel.

All centre backs at Celtic in recent years have had it very difficult as recent managers didn’t provide them with much cover or support. Playing our best attacking football usually means midfield, wingers and at least one full back are all in attacking positions. Contrary to what some think, I think we have been blessed with really good for the most part with good centre backs who play well together. Trusty started well but for some reason has got himself caught up in a wrestling game with opponents. Scales gives all he got, works well with CCV, makes the odd mistake but is nowhere near the “fear” giving mistake waiting to happen player that some “Celtic fans” make him out to be . CCV is a little bit injury prone, but if we aren’t under heavy pressure he is a delight to watch as he can glide over the ground, snuffing out danger before danger arises.

If the youngsters were good enough they would have found a pathway to first team football especially if Board were penny pinching . Many have left us in a blaze of glory but, I don’t see see any of them who were too good for Celtic, making the progress that some Barcelona youngsters have made . Two x 17 year olds.

For the last 50 years managers have dictated the game . As time goes on manager has more and more input into the whole game . I fully understand why Managers plan defensive set ups especially from set pieces. This is an area managers seem to not get right or else players don’t put into practice what they are told .
I think Celtic are often attacking with defence in mind as players take the safe option . We definitely lose entertainment value of game, hopefully results continue to make up in some way for lost of pure entertainment.

Boaby We probably scored 20-30 extra goals in SPL because we played the midfield line -up that we did.
I am sure BR knows what a no nonsense defensive midfielder can offer and decided he didn’t want one . Funny enough I am possibly in a minority, I think BR has a reasonable knowledge of the game and how to set up team.

How do we know what Nawrocki is like, we have seen so little of him it is pure guess work . Trusty started reasonable well but deteriorated and seem to get less and less confident as game progressed. He lost confidence in Scottish referees who allowed his opponents to push, pull, put the boot in and all round nasty play that he wasn’t used to.
It’s doubtful if he can overcome that . I doubt if a Japanese player or an 18 year would handle the type of play that the SPl attackers get away with . If we can get a faster and more careful with the ball than Scales, great.

It doesn’t really make a lot of sense that Celtic pay Nicholson the most money of our Directors and then allow him to do nothing as P L earns the minimum that Celtic pay a Director and have him serve the tea and biscuits as well as do the arduous CEO work .
I always want to respect my elders and hate to show him by disrespect by disagreeing, however on this one occasion I am afraid he is not right.

I think those that matter will wait until the time necessary to make up their mind before deciding . We all know there’s no such thing as a routine 3 pointer, When B R starts picking and choosing matches as the routine and easy to win matches, it will be time for Celtic to change their manager.
