Hi Ed,
I've seen you saying a few times now that this is the best football Celtic have played since Tommy Burns time in charge. I beg to differt. This is BETTER! I love Tommy Burns and what a joy we were to watch at times. However, I also remember a rainy Scottish cup replay at the crumbledome against Falkirk where the mighty Paolo had a great game but couldn't score. We lost. This team is on a different level to ANYTHING I've seen and I am 49! Let's enjoy the big fella while he's here! HH!

Celtic played brilliant football under the management of Tommy Burns.
Tommy would’ve been more successful, if it wasn’t for his reluctance to start both Pierre and Cadette against Rangers.
Tommy never Once, started both strikers against Rangers and that resulted in us only scoring One league goal against them in the 1996/ 97 season.
Rangers done their only ever Premier League whitewash against Celtic in their 9 in a row season but yet they only won the league by 5 points.

Carlyle makes perfect sense to me . No matter how well TB’s teams played and entertained, his teams never won anything save one Scottish Cup.
Ange is on a different planet from that.

{Ed007's Note - It's nothing to do with winning, it's about entertaining football and Ange is the best I've seen since Tommy Burns, there's older guys that might have said TB played the best football they'd seen since Jock Stein.
I'm really failing to see the point, I'm not saying that TB's football was better than Ange, I'm saying Angeball is the best football I've watched Celtic playing since TB, before Ange TB was the best. ??♂️

Sorry, scratch my last post, it didn’t address the issue raised.
If we talk about Celtic as an entertains football team, then up until Ange, TB’s team was clearly the best.
However, as a manager, TB was simply not successful save one Scottish Cup and that’s a fact.
Ange has that magic that combines entertainment and sucess. There is only one other Celtic manager who has ever managed that.

Think the problem with Tommy's team was Fergus not letting him bring in a class cb and keeper, the football was great on the eye but oldco knew how to beat us, they sat in and just countered, but days like Falkirk can happen to all good teams including anges.

Absolutely agree. Prices are very fair. What people can't seem to grasp is that our beloved Celtic are a PLC. It is their job to maximise all revenue streams. I get the argument about the cost of living crisis and in an ideal world the prices would be lower. It is what it is. and if you don't like it, don't buy em! The exact same thing is happening in the music industry. I love U2.would I pay £500 to see them? No.
