Hearing that Scott Allan is at parkhead just now, not sure how accurate or if it's premature, was on the radio at 2.30.

True or not, he's a good wee player and I think he'll do well wherever he plays nxt.
He's just not priority for us just now, I really hope we've got a decent striker coming in because it's getting embarrassing now!

Could be right Bigbadjohn Seen on s** sports website that celtic apparently will have the deal wrapped up in the next day or so. I don't mind of we get him decent player will only get better. Just hope he's followed by a striker too.

2.) 13 Aug 2015 17:55:51
Nothing against the player, he seems decent enough but it what planet is he a priority for us?!

We're crying out for a centre forward and we're caught up in this saga.

We will get past Rosenborg, the last round will be the one! (Ties are getting harder again) 😤
Knowing full well what's at steak I don't get the lack of activity? Invincibles amongst sh1te, different story where we should be aiming to act like a BIG club!
We should always look to strengthen from a position of strength!

The club made £20-£25mill last season alone just on champs league! ALONE!
We're still waiting to spend some of that, IF WE QUALIFY, that's the minimum!
For the panty wetter, every year we haven't qualified for groups, our best player has been sold. Because the board had taken into account champs league money 😂
Speculate to accumulate.

Some people just won't be happy untill you throw money away, it's not like you are going out to buy a more expensive, more state of the art TV or fridge, where you know you will get an improvement on the old one, every time you buy a player it's a gamble, last season Dembelle and Sinclair were gambles that worked out, people should just be patient.

2.) 29 Jul 2017 09:07:35
Ppl make me laugh at times, just down the page were going to pump them 3-0 etc, we just managed to get away with a draw at home. what makes people think were going to pump this team?, from what i heard on the radio we were lucky to get a draw, so brendans raging, not getting backed etc. griffiths has went from one of our own to complete dafty in a week. What never changes is the constant critisism of everything celtic, and that's not the MSM, that's us! Its like groundhog day in the transfer window, even tho BR has said his plans. what's next, rodgers out if we don't make it?

3.) 29 Jul 2017 09:59:46
We throw money away going cheap also aindoh . sometimes spending is the best policy. using ronnie as example . most agree buy up and coming players to develop ronnie bought 6 ajer henderson christie jozo duffy janko. approx 5mill.4 out of 6 still have a chance . after that is where ee always go wrong . we spend approx 9 million on 11 players kazim. Cole . Allen. cifti. bailly. gms scepovic. shevvy boats Armstrong. out of the 11 how many have been successful only 3? . . armstrong . boyata . Shevvy still in team and only 1 Armstrong most would keep. my point on this is if we throw 10 million on 2 tried and tested proven quality players using tbe transfer fees wages of the duds wouldn't that be a better policy? Then there is the loans which imo is a waste of money and a block on youngsters we own breaking through. he brought in paddy guudetti denayer. berget. wakaso lackkett . tonev. the two who turn out good only frustrate as we then can't afford them. ramble over.

4.) 29 Jul 2017 10:01:22
A few points bhoywonder.

The Rosenborg game, despite them having the better chances, we actually looked the better side (in terms of personnel) . We played well in patches but struggled to break them down. I don't think we'll pump them, but a wee shift in shape and them havimg to come out - we can win, or at least score and leave them needing two.

Griffiths - he's always been a dafty 😃

BR not being backed - I'd agree with that. By the time you add up transfer fees in, minus transfer fees out and player wages trimmed (Kolo alone must cover the new signings) - we've hardly pushed the boat out.

Rodgers out if we don't make the CL? Absolutely not for me, but it's happened with other managers.

5.) 29 Jul 2017 11:05:06
I think " from what I heard on the radio" sum's up the last post.

6.) 29 Jul 2017 13:01:14
Jim it was injuries that done us imo on wed, you can't account for that bud, so what's he to do, go and buy for the sake of it? griffs been doing the scarf thing for ages, with the fans lapping it up, but as soon as he is pulled for it he's a daftie etc. Ballochi i think youll find my post is to do with the constant crying of fans when things don't go our way, what's the radio got to do with it, i have ears, i did hear what was said, and they shouldve been 2 up by the end of the match, or are the commentators, press, match reporters telling porkies? Injuries played a part on wed yet the same old mince gets spouted every day, Im surprised no ones called me a hun yet, that seems to be happening a lot when you think differently from the rest.

We're Europa league level, struggled badly away from home against a bog standard Europa league level team, can some stop banging on about Janko plz, he's poor and got found out tonight, BIG TIME! some even wanted Darnell Fischer given a chance before he left lol! We need proper cover not mince.
I'll take the result all day long and over the moon but need to be realistic, we played for the money tonight.

I think the nerves kicked in big time. BR interview after the game mentioned the players lacking the confidence the last few seasons after going out in the same rounds previously. with a couple of quality additions we will see a huge improvement. the manager knows there is still a lot of work to be done but at least we are where we want to be.

Hey Ed, hope you and the family had a good festive period and a decent start to this year (only 4 days in I know lol but hey)

The game on Saturday was one of the worst I've seen in a good while and hate passing negativity onto my kids who go to as many games as poss aswell, so his it well.
I'm angry at the way the teams playing and I don't need to go over what others on here have already said, but I was even more angry at the stupid "protest" if it was? Of the flashing of lights on the phones! Boo the team, boo the management or board, but go to the game and watch it, you never know mibe get a last minute goal! And an ugly win is still a win.

Anyway. Few rumours flying about the last couple of days, I don't pay any attention to many of them now until something concrete.
Just wondering on the Tyler Blackett situ? I thought he was away back down the road, did they not want him back either?

Bigbadjohn

{Ed007's Note - Wasn't the phones thing something to do with Police Scotland and the OBF act? It seems that celebrating an ugly win is dependant on who the manager is at the time, John, some supporters were upset that Griffiths' late goal sealed the ugly win and wasted their night, there were even some fans on social media would have preferred we had lost to Thistle. I'm like you, a win is a win.
As far as I was aware Tyler Blackett returned to Man Utd last month.}

1.) 04 Jan 2016 22:25:13
I'm not sure Ed, you'll probably know better? again just heard different bits and bobs, would be disappointed if the light flashing was aimed at the manager, coaching staff or board, I'm not happy with some of the things going on with the team on and off the pitch but flashing a light is a wee bit immature if that's what it was?

Blackett played today for the development squad, if it's the same one right enough? Don't think there's 2 (hopefully) if there is then we've kept the right one.
I did think he was away though?

{Ed007's Note - You're right about Blackett, I've no idea what's going on there mate sorry. I see Tierney was stretchered off today, that doesn't sound too good.
Would it really surprise you if the flashing lights was against the manager when you see some of the toxic reprobates that seem to have attached themselves to the support?}

2.) 04 Jan 2016 22:30:11
Did you get that rumour about Blackett from 'Only an Excuse' bigbadjohn 😃 a wee drunken flashback me thinks😉.

3.) 04 Jan 2016 22:42:21
And where we sit, there was proper "supporters" trying to sing songs or start them anyway but all you get is a dirty look or comment, my kids were told to shut up one week from the hangers on! (That almost done it for me) Seems it's all about the Green brigade?
The booing was the only thing louder than the Away support lol
Was a few trying to start "your getting sacked in the morning" they had left before griffiths scored though.

It's not all roses but RD is far from the blame on some or most of this.

{Ed007's Note - I'm surprised you didn't get a stern letter about your kids interrupting customers's tweeting or selfie taking. You wouldn't be the first to be grassed up by 'one of our own' for making too much noise at a game.}

4.) 05 Jan 2016 00:25:23
Once again you assume things even if it social media you don't know. I'm an angry celt but I want wins under Ronny and hope we go from strength to strength I've been hoping for some time.

{Ed007's Note - I hope for your own sake you aren't trying to call me a liar. I know what I seen with my own eyes.}

5.) 05 Jan 2016 10:57:01
The split in support and the mediocrity on the pitch again deflects and conceals the true culprits in all of this.
The uber-complacent Lawell and fellow board members have systematically dragged the club backwards and downhill ever since WGS went on his merry way.

Both NL and RD have been given a job., far in excess of their experience and capability, with the added disadvantage of (NL in particular) having top players sold and not replaced with anything resembling similar class.
Budget restraints - even though profits were healthy and bonuses/ dividends were assured to the few.

The disintegration of rangers was dismissed by Lawell as we were self-sufficient and able to generate our own cash; but the well is running dry as we have very few assets left in the shop window and our European 'cash line' card has been well and truly cut in half.

We may well still be in with a chance of three trophies, but - hand on heart - how do supporters see our progress and superiority since 2012?
I honestly believe the board have been treading water instead of steaming ahead - like other teams would have done in our position.

6.) 05 Jan 2016 11:15:13
Totally agree JJ2. PL has stated that we don't budget ourselves on CL. Therefore we have just been treading water in the hope we qualify. We should have made consistent strides in Europe without Rangers but the penny pinching has just held us back. Pig sick of investing more in the club than the billionaire owners who call themselves fans.

7.) 05 Jan 2016 14:51:54
Ed the Tierney carried off injured was a Thistle player, KT is fine.

8.) 06 Jan 2016 18:49:13
Jungle Jim 2 most of us would agree that the board is threading water rather than going full steam ahead .
Just could u explain what full steam ahead consists of . Can the club afford full steam ahead?

Hey Ed how things?
I come with my hands held high lol
I was one of a few or many (can't remember) ? That though JC might have done a decent job 🙈
I was the one that was coached by him for certain courses and coached along side him at and for the performance schools and 20/20.
He's never a manager in a million years but thought he'd have done well by the younger lads and so on.
How wrong was I?
He might else where (lol) but not at Celtic.
I'm all for Ronny given more time if the board are going to back him properly and let him bring his own staff/players in, but JC isn't right in there.

I never gave him the job so don't stone me lol
And I'm happy to hold my hands up (I don't get much wrong, same as you)
100% wrong this time.

Bigbadjohn

{Ed007's Note - Fair play to you but I'd have been happier if you had been proved right, John.}

1.) 24 Nov 2015 22:37:19
Me too mate.
My opinion aswell as others count for nothing in the grand scheme of things.
I just want our team to prosper and play at a level we can all be proud of!

{Ed007's Note - Get on the Ronny bus then! (dance)

Bit steep of the lad needs to bide his time, must be something about him?
Short in that position and don't need anymore attacking mids till the summer when Robers departs.
I'd imagine he's a "proper" holding mid, Bitton cannot takle!

Load eh rubbish Jim, seen it myself and had Ciftci as only striker available 😂 It was a link that took you onto a sevco thing aimed at 🎣🎣🎣
I'd imagine Dembele starts and like Ed says Mcgregor in behind.
If we go 3 at the back Sinclair will play one in and not been great lately will coz big problems 😊.

It wouldn't make any difference Kev, so it's fine to keep banking money, never really use it and struggle
To qualify for champs league because our squads good enough for Scotland lol
No ones asking for tens of millions to be spent!
We're barley spending anything!
Fans have been moaning for years about lack of spends now the same ones are happy we aren't spending 😂 How the f@ck does that make sense?

Because it is. That's why! Lol
I went with with stale because I'm not clever enough to think of another meaning for having 19 midfielders employed to play 4 or 5 positions across the middle of the park, perm them any way you like and Timalloy will you the same as me that's thousands but we stuck with the same 5 or 6 and played out of position. Stale, inept, boring?
Problematic. Don't need to get into, explains itself!

Same mediocre players barring 1 or 2 additions that won't make that much difference until quality is added, we could all rhyme players off all night but there middle of the road and that's just bein honest, No point pretending otherwise!
There's 5/ 6 good players in that team, another 4 or 5 better players added to that would help and I'm sure that would help bring on a couple of others that are maybe lagging?
It just depends what your willing to accept I suppose lol
It can't get worse than last season tho!

Nice wee well timed publicity stunt, and unveild tomorrow on flag day lol, If true obviously?
Could've done with decent additions before now, the teams been stale and problematic for 2/ 3 seasons!
Hope the teams changed slightly from the first leg and a good buzz about the place.
It has to be!

Jonace. that's not really what Sally Mcmoist said.
Reading it, wether it it be locally or from afar as like you are, that's the problem.
It's not miles off but it's not what he said and that's what the Scottish media love, the smallest detail and people bite.

We didn't make £30mil, maybe close too!
And if we do get £20/ 30mil for Dembele? That's not how it works and won't work lol
It's not all spends, only a fraction.

Disappointed again for some weird reason, Groundhog Day so why is it a surprise lol
It's been an ok window, nothing more than that, I know the wage structure has probably altered to suit Toure and Sinclair plus a singing on fee here or there!
Don't think we should be scarmbling about on the last day but surely we could've pushed for at least one more? Hey ho go with what we've got and bank the money again 👏🏽.
