Surely Celtic can't be serious thinking of signing again O Eduoard . I know he did score a lot of goals for us previously . In my opinion our goalkeeper Schmeichel would cover more ground during s game than Edouard.
Surely it wouldn't be fair on our outfield players who work their socks off every week and Eduoard stroll around and in fairness probably score a few goals .
I think we need our striker to have a work rate comparable to Kyogo.

That board doesn't have the ambition to sign Eduoard again, it'll be the usual 2.7m project signings.

Edouard was one of those who downed tools at the end of his spell at PH, and to be that told me he was not in it for the team. So a no from me.

Didn't kyogo have a better goals per game average as well?

Just looked at videos of the French player Chotard that we are linked with. Defendive midfield player. He looks quality, breaking up attacks, defending the edge of the box brilliantly and he us also very good on the ball.

His team have been relegated so the price would not be high.

He is 23 and would do a great job for us.

At this time I would have him before Miller, he looks a more complete player.

Miller and his team have never mentioned us as a possible destination and I don't think he wants to come here as he would not start for us for some time imo.

If we are interested in him we should test the water and assess the response and if negative, close that door and move on.

As Chotard demonstrates there are better young players out there for the same money.

It's a saga we really don't need to stay involved in if he's looking elsewhere.

{Ed007's Note - Celtic will already know if Lennon Miller is interested in coming to Celtic and more importantly Lennon Miller will already know if Celtic are interested in him and what his role/position would be within the squad. As I've previously said and a few other people have heard the same thing, it's a done deal but I'm not convinced to be honest.
We need to knock it on the head whether Miller is good enough to play for Celtic - I'd expect a 23-year old to be better than an 18-year old, whether that's Chotard or a 23-year old John McGinn as I bizarrely read him compared to earlier - he's 18 and already playing at SPFL level so he's more than good enough to play in most domestic games, that's plenty for a lad his age, maybe some sub appearances in the CL to get him used to it. At 18 years of age, he's not going to come in and be expected to be the main man, running games like CalMac but he's by far THE best young Scottish player to come through since Lewis Ferguson and whether he signs for Celtic or not in five years time there will be nobody questioning whether Miller is or would have been good enough to play for Celtic. Well there'll always be one or two lol
Would I like to see Celtic sign Lennon Miller, absolutely but if we don't it's his loss imo, he could play here for 5 years and still only be 24ish, hopefully with a choice to go and make us & him millions or stay and go onto become a replacement for guys like CalMac, Forrest, KT & Ralston in the future.}

We'll probably find out on Monday if it's a done deal and have him paraded with all the other signings secretly completed over the last few weeks.

{Ed007's Note - ??

It would be a lack of ambition if we signed Edouard!

I think this all stemmed from a slow news day where Scott Allan suggested we should sign him. That turned into 'celtic tipped to sign Edouard' which has rolled over into 'Celtic are after Edouard'.

Ed, I agree with all that and it would benefit both parties but he's a confident lad in his own ability and I am not sure he would not want to be playing every week.

Realistically wherever he goes the chances are he may be in the same position.

If we want him, I hope we make a realistic offer to Motherwell and try not to low ball them and it gets done quickly.

Who am I kidding.

{Ed007's Note - I don't mind clubs like Motherwell looking for a bit extra from us as it's quite normal to rack the price up if selling to a "rival" club in the same league.
At the start of the season there I was all for buying Miller and loaning him back to Motherwell for a season but now I think he'd be better off getting out of Fir Park this summer but as you say too, where is he going to go for the next stage of his career where he will play every week. A
Are Sunderland going to gamble on Miller as an integral part of the team to keep them in the PL, does he fancy being at best a squad player in a relegation battle to make him a better player and how long will the Sunderland manager Le Bris last if it isn't going well?}

I think the Board spent £20m on two players last summer and some fans still can’t forgive them . So maybe u are right they need to take Letterkenny's idea and drop back to £2.7m star buys.
