I usually don't do negative posts, but literally nothing good to say about last night. And it's all on Rodgers. If we take another result like that against Leipzig (who finished above Dortmund in the Bundesliga last year) or Atalanta then I'd be happy to see the back of him for good.
There is no merit whatsoever in beating St Johnstone 6-0 if the same thing happens to us when we play a better side. A decent manager gets results against better or comparable opposition. When was the last time we won a game against a team that were better than us? I genuinely can't remember.
As for the fans, waving a Lebanon flag, wtf is that all about. These people need to get a grip.

There's no doubt domestically, his brand of football has improved. However, the SPL level of quality is bang average compared to stepping up to the top tier in Europe. We are not equipped tactically or technically to go toe-to toe and it's worrying everyone but the manager was aware of this.
I appreciate the heady heights of The Lions and the Seville Stars are long gone, but we have fallen way below what Celtic supporters expect even against top teams where, we were famed for punching above our weight.
The past few seasons have seen us become whipping Bhoys and results like last night are a painful reminder of our decline in Europe and also highlights our coaching limitations against brighter, younger modern thinking managers.

Really don't believe his organisation will ever do anything in the cl, very poor set up and no organisation, could have been double figures.

Rodgers needs to take a different approach in Europe but there is absolutely nothing he can do if we give the ball away over and over again.
There is a huge difference in giving the ball away at the back or in our own half against the likes of St Johnstone, Hibs and Rangers compared to a Word class team like Dortmund.
I said it last night in the chat and will say it again, Taylor cannot play as if he is an inside forward in Europe and especially away.
He doesn't have the pace to recover in the league never mind against a team like last night, he might have been told to try and get forward but he should be professional enough to know his own limitations and read the game.
If he can't then McGregor should be instructing him on the field to stay back.
How many times last night did we have the ball, lose it and it was 4 on 3 or 2.
We were skelped by a much better team and were my tip to win the tournament this season and we were taught a lesson.
We do it to lesser teams in the league and love watching it so we just need to move on but I really hope we don't see Taylor playing in Europe again as he ceiling is the SPL.

But it's not one loss. This type of defeat has been happening for a good few seasons now and fans are right to be concerned.

I'll be stunned if Dortmund win the champions league this year.

Dortmund spend 3.5 x more on wages than we do, however no excuse we spend about 13x more than st Johnstone, let's hope last night is a one off.

I really hate to say this but sevco are crap but they always get good results in Europe, so what are we doing wrong in.

There was never any real chance that we would get anything from the game and I mentioned to my Orc mates that we would get scudded and I expect the exact same against Atlanta.
We will win another 2 home games and hopefully pick up 1 or 2 points away but we are no where near the level of the top 12-16 CL teams.
