Ok guys get the brains working.
You have 6m max for each player.
Which position do you want to strengthen/ improve upon and which player would you like.
Just some fun as Ange will probably get someone we never heard of lol.

I’m not clued up, on which players Celtic can recruit in the summer.

Joe Hart will be 36 next week but I would give him another year.
Joe still hasn’t caused Celtic any league points and he’s nearly played 2 full league campaigns.

A left back is a definite because I don’t feel Bernabei will ever be good enough to challenge Taylor.

A right winger is another definite because Forrest is past his best and I would sell Abada if he wants to leave.

I would probably sell Hatate for top dollar and he would need replaced.
I like Turnbull but he’s only a fringe player now.
I would possibly bring in a second midfielder, to challenge for a starting place.

1 left back, 1 right winger and 2 midfielders.

I play football manager every night so these are the questions that keep me going ? I agree with buzz mostly but I still hold hope for Bernabei.

Sensible post buzz . can't disagree with any that . Would like another season from hatate, but money talks . Will oh be prolific? Still think we are short of a natural poacher/ target man like gg . Kyogo is good but still missing a mixture up front.

Bernie is statistically just as good if not better than ralston so surely deserves another season before we write him off.

I'd want a goalkeeper a centre back centre mid and a right winger. We could arguably do with another striker also.

{Ed007's Note - Bernabei is more than capable of being Taylor's understudy and can also do a turn in a further forward role. There are some stories that he's struggling to settle and if that's the case I'd put him out on loan until he matures a bit but ability wise I have no qualms having him in our squad next season.
We spoke about it on the podcast, if - and it's a massive IF - everyone stays the only real position needed improving on is GK, which is hard to say considering how well Hart has done for us.
Look at last year in the CL and up to now, we have a proper CDM in Iwata, we have a big strong striker in Oh, we've hugely improved the RB position imo, Ange trust CCV and Starfelt 100% - regardless of what people say about the big Swede - and Kobayishi as back up. We have Haksabanovic champing at the bit, a years worth of a more mature O'Riley, Abada & Jota and then we have youngsters like Rocco, Bosun Lawel, Dawson & Davidson and a few more from the B team looking to at least be involved with the first team squad.
Realistically only a fool would think there will be nobody leaving and for me we are now at an important junction of where we want to be as a team and as a Club, to improve on what we have we need to pay better/spend wiser to help us get to that next level of showing up in Europe.
Forget the transfer fees, we need to start spending more money on wages for certain players, that's been our problem for years, we need to learn to spend the wage bill wiser.}

Its likely to be a funny transfer window, and i would guess incoming players are dependent on who leaves. Squad is currently pretty large. I like Walsh, but think he will move on this year as isn't getting much of a chance. I would think there's likely strong interest in CV so id be targeting a CB. in centre mid we have lots of options. I think o'riley may want to move on to nail a starting spot, hatate could well be the big sale this year. Feel like mccarthy also needs to move on.

ill go with a controversial one here, Dele Ali, i know he's obviously a bit of a mess and fell from grace, however his raw talent is undeniable, if agne could get him to tick, there's potentially a player who can kick on in europe, also think that with players like dele, clubs like celtic can just fit, adoration from the fans etc can get players like this back in love with the game. that would be dependent on a sit down with agne and cards on the table.

Theres the obvious chat of abada moving, and even tho i think have the cover at the moment, the fear is that haska gets itchy feet, or jota has interest from EPL or abroad. then a winger is a priority,

If we keep the bulk of full squad intact, why not take the risk on a dele ali type game changer. Not many weaknesses in the side at the moment and would be very confident next season without wholesale changes.

Agree with Ed we should be giving the players that are the spine of the team more to get them to stay then you can build the team further but we do have to start blooding the youngsters because we have lost so many in last few years maybe play them in the cup games and see how they do but I think if we are going to sign anyone we should only sign real quality and that would mean breaking the record we spent on edouard maybe a proper cdm oc real top quality and possibly a centre back to partner vickers.

{Ed007's Note - The problem in Scotland with bleeding youngsters in cup games is if we go out it gives them a free run and vice versa, the support on either side wouldn't accept that. We could change it up and make the LC a tournament that any club with a team in the B team/league no nonsense need X amount of B team players in the team/squad. The bridge between youth/reserve team football.is what is strangling the Scottish game.}

Ed I read a while back you think Hatate will be off in the summer. Is this still the case, and is it a hunch rather than a rumour you've heard? I'd like us to strengthen at CB and possibly another winger but Ange has built a great squad. And who would have thought after KT that some would be looking for a back up to Taylor!

{Ed007's Note - It's a bit of a mixture of both, HT mate. There are "big" (richer) clubs watching Hatate and I think Celtic will get a few offers this summer that will put us in the position that if Hatate wants to leave he will be allowed to go.}
