Just had a look over the squad and taking into consideration player ages and position in the squad I think we could potentially move a good few on in the summer.

Ajeti
Johnston
McCarthy
Bitton
Soro
Bolingoli
Jullien
Bain
Barkas

There is a couple in there I am not too sure about, Bitton could stay but I'm sure he will want more game time running into the end of his career. Jullien is a bit of an anomaly. I'm sure I heard he was looking for a move out of the club.

I think if the above do move on we will need to strengthen and I think that's why we are being linked with a lot of midfielders still.

Keep Bitton, he has not let us down. He is good at calming things down, tightening up midfield when we need it. I just don't understand why he is viewed as not good enough or not required. I would keep Julien also unless he wants to leave and if so I'll drive him to wherever he wants to go.

{Ed007's Note - Bitton only has a year left on his current deal so the Club will need to make a decision on offering him an extension - do the Club still only offer players in the 30s a one years extension(?) and would that be enough for the player if that's the case - selling him or letting him run his deal out as a thank you for all the years of service.
Bitton mulled over the option to return to Israel last summer so he might think it's time for him and his family to return home and be a first choice player again at this stage of his career, he turn 31 later this year but the lure of another crack at the CL and seeing where Ange could take this team might be too much to walk away from.
I never had any qualms about Bitton playing in the CDM role as he has proven over the years he is more than capable in that role but when we were using him as a first choice CB he looked well out his depth and it looked like his Celtic career was over. Thankfully Ange must have seen the CB experiment wasn't working and moved him back into his preferred position where he has not only shown how capable he is but he in another player that has really improved under Ange.]
Julien's Celtic career looks like it is over and I would be amazed to see him in a Celtic strip again, he's another one with only a year on his deal and seeing that Ange hasn't even seen him kick a ball in anger and the stories about his petulant attitude I don't see any way back for him at Celtic.}

It seems to be the French temperament, they are delighted to join a team and play well and are all smiles, they then get to the stage they believe they are ready for the next step up (or their agents tells them that) and they disengage and then think they don't have to try as it will all come to them. That attitude can cause real issues in the changing room if allowed to happen but it appears Ange doesn't allow that and to be honest this team of players are there for each other and the chances are Julien won't fit in anymore. Probably time for him to move on. A big financial hit for us but what can we do.

Nir Bitton’s current Celtic contract runs out 3 months short of his 10th year Anniversary at the club.
If he signed an extended contract, Bitton would be due a Testimonial match.
