I've seen a few things online about English teams trying to poach ange etc, probably all a lot of rubbish but it wouldn't surprise me after what he has done so far, anyway personally I think them down there would rather chuck a £20 million contract to an 'elite level' journeyman manager with a reputation not one with genuine ideas and beliefs so I think we should he fine. I'm pretty sure rodgers didn't sign his 4 year deal until around the 17 April in his 1st season or at least that was when it was announced so I'd be looking for similar results here or maybe they might leave that as the final gift at the end of the season for us? HH ?.

I think we'll be ok till Pep goes then we might have a problem. Ange has been part of this City group for a while now and I have a feeling if he continues on this successful path he'll be in the frame at City. Hopefully that won't be for 3 or 4 years yet.

{Ed007's Note - Man City have no intentions of replacing Pep with Ange but don't be surprised if Guardiola takes over the Spanish national team next summer (2023) - it would have been this summer but with the World Cup being played in November that has thrown the plan off it's path - which has been Pep's long term plan.}

The guy who was a source of nothing but amusement and ridicule to some before he signed has right royally got it round everyone. I won't forget that bell end Brazil creasing himself trying to pronounce his name. Not sure he is laughing now.

Did I know who he was? No. Did I know about his ability as a manager? No. Did I laugh at his name? No. Did I just do a simple google search on him? Yes. What I found out is that he was no novice and that he had a pedigree of international management in Japan, managed his national team and won the league in Oz. I wasn't blown away by his CV but it was respectable none the less. Did I for one minute think he would be the domestic sensation he has turned out to be? No - not a cat in Hells chance. After losing three in his first six I thought "hold on a mo'" have we been sold a real pup by the board here? Well he has rammed it right up me and I couldn't be happier.

Celtic took a chance on him and he has repaid that in spades. The more successful he is for us the bigger the chance he will go - but that is football. If he leaves at the end of a season instead of half way through, like Rodgers and Gerrard, then he will do so with my full blessing. I think we just need to enjoy him and let him take us on his journey, wherever that leads.

Is he on a one year rolling contract at the moment? If so, forget about Jota, forget about CCV, forget about an new LB, Get Sensei Ange signed up and that will be the best signing of the season.

PS. I take it all back if he blows the treble!

PPS. Poach Ange? That will have to be a heck of a big pot!

We've all been massively impressed with what Ange has achieved with us but City taking him to replace Pep? Can't see it. Certainly not unless we make drastic improvements in Europe.
