It was great to read a few of the guys discussing the Maestro Paul McStay last night.
This Sunday will be the 40th Anniversary when Paul McStay made his debut in a Scottish Cup 4-0 victory against QOTS.
Danny McGrain scored a rare Celtic goal in that game.
Another youngster John Haplin also made his debut and scored against QOTS.
The following week on January 30th 1982,the Maestro scored his first Celtic goal away to Aberdeen in a brilliant 3-1 victory.
It was a great result which went a long way to securing the first title I witnessed as a young boy. ( Celtic 3 St. Mirren 0 )
Aberdeen actually took the lead in the 1st minute before Celtic came roaring back to win.
I've never met Paul but I had the honour of being in his mum and dads company on a couple of occasions.
A Great Family.

Paul Mcstay was my hero growing up Buzz. He epitomised Celtic at the time for me.

100% Bribhoy, he was a Celtic hero of mine too when I first started going to watch Celtic around 83'.

Paul's playing style was immaculate, he had the lot and represented Celtic Football Club every bit as professionally off the park, as he did on it.

A gentleman.

Luka Modric?
Modric was the first that came to my mind but I think it’s a hard question.
Who do you think he’s like Steff?
