Celtic have dropped points in 5 league games out of 12 already this season.
According to Tom English,
Kyogo didn't start as our striker in those 5 matches.
He came on as a sub late on against Hearts after just signing.
Kyogo was injured against Livingston away and in our draw at home to Dundee Utd.
Our Japanese superstar was played wide at Ibrox to accommodate Edouard through the middle and then he came on as a sub on Saturday as our number 10.
Tom English added that he thinks Celtic are One Dimensional, when Kyogo doesn't play through the middle for Celtic and I suppose his statistics back up his theory.

I really think we need to sign a big tall rough striker, maybe someone a little older that can come on for the last 20-30 minutes, put balls into the box and confuse the opposition. We need to be able to mix it up, if teams are set up for a draw with 11 men behind the ball then we need a different option someone who can disrupt a defence. Doesn't matter if there european class or not once they can do a job in the league is all that matters.

Hows it going to confuse defences? clearing cross balls is their bread and butter.

I read that also BuzzBomb and although I don't like agreeing with Tom English those stats and the performances we've had without Kyogo, suggest we're relying heavily on him.

I'm not sure if we signed Maieda, if he'd be a like for like replacement for Kyogo in order to give him a rest or can Ange come up with a way of playing two strikers and ensure Kyogo is not played on the wing?

If English said the grass was green I'd double check.

There's no doubt we are a far better and dangerous attacking force when he is on the pitch and some are even comparing him to Henrik? Back in the day, Larsson had Sutton and Hartson to share the load and I agree we could do with similar options up front.

Another factor for Saturday may be the absence of Rogic, who has surprised us all with his run of form and contribution.
This would be where you'd expect Turnbull to step-up or even Cal-Mac to move further forward, but I think we are still lightweight in the middle of the park and that needs to be addressed as well?

Brumbhoy clearing the ball is there bread and butter but up against a big striker who isn't scared to head a ball and with the amount of crosses we could deliver and how constant and quick it could be, defences would get confused with all the movement in and around them. More chance for oppo to make a mistake.

Agree OAB2 and DRB mentions it also, we need a playmaker. Someone with the ability and quality to make the passes time and time again that split defences.

If I'm honest, although I was shouting for us to sign Turnbull long ago, I thought he would be better and more rounded player than he is at this stage. I hope he continues to improve.

Playing high balls into the box all the time isn't the way to go, I agree it's just bread and butter to any decent centre backs, we need to play low balls into spaces, that fast nimble forwards can run onto, we need forwards that are mobile that can create spaces by their movement, we need Kyogo in the middle,

For me, Rogic was the big miss at the weekend. I've never been his greatest fan, but this season, I changed my thoughts on him. He doesn't act like a pinball machine when taking a ball with a marker at his back, has good feet, and can pick and play a pass.

I'd like to see him centre midfield, with instructions to stay away from the flanks. Maybe we'd get a regular 90 minutes out of him. He's the one player we have I think can control a game.

He needs hard working midfielders around him, ones that are effective midfielders against the best. I also think our midfield is lightweight (re. Onceabhoy) , and I think it is this area our problems lie. It has been for many years.

Just my opinion!
