I've just seen the Celtic trends report for the Livingston game on Sunday.
It shows where every players average position was throughout the game.
There wasn't a good balance in the team.
All the midfield players were over to the left hand side, which left a massive gap on the right side.
I was critical of Abada being non-existent on Sunday but he didn't receive much service.
The trends shows right back Juranovic is actually in his own half on average and there is No right midfielder.
The gap between Abada and another Celtic player is massive.
52% of our attacks came down the left with 24% each for the middle and right side.
McCarthy is also sitting too deep on the half way line, with Livingston having 10 men behind the ball.
I was surprised to read that young Welsh had the most accurate passes and he only played 72 minutes.

I normally try to have a peek at our heat maps Buzz however can find them hard to come by so will drop in there thanks ?.

The coaching staff will, or should be well aware of that data during a game. Rightly or wrongly the focus on the left would have been intentional.

Just skimmed through that there Ed, I will have a better read later but it supports what I've picked up from the odd documentary about young city workers in places like Tokyo. Certainly something I think a lot of our youngsters could do with. I work for a large online retailer who have adapted a Japanese idea of cramming the working week into four days and it certainly seems to increase productivity and morale.

When people talk about Naka, yes he was technically brilliant and had vision but it was his work rate for me that set him apart and allowed him to orchestrate games. He was fit as a fiddle and it's no surprise he was still playing a decent level at 42.

{Ed007's Note - ?

When you see the heat maps for yourself Jim, it was too congested down the left side and that suited Livingston.
It would’ve been better to stretch them all over the pitch.
The Livingston right back done well considering all the attacks where coming down his side, especially after he received a yellow card in only 15 seconds.
