Regarding Starfelt. One very positive aspect folks should look at is how he most often plays a “one touch” pass forward to next widest player when he receives it from his opposite CB. This is key to how we now play. Speed = a combination of - speed of thought + speed of touch (1,2,3 touches before passing or ability to receive the ball on first touch) + speed of the ball. This is how top teams make up time all over the pitch and is the what makes a top player a top player. He also shifts the ball quicker at speed to others. So that allows us to break the lines and attack the way we want to now.
Compare that to Soro (3 or 4 touches each time he receives ball) or Taylor - must be poorest passing completion rate out of our back 4 and calmac ie lower risk passes.

Up, but folks need to understand the full picture before leaping on a narrow view of how the game has to be played now. Would be interested to see his passing completion rate. Bet it is highest in team or top two.

To be fair most of the passes are short and he should be making them in his sleep, am sure the report from Russia was that his pass completion was at 70% and he liked a tussle but wasn't great in the air, some of the slackness imo is down to nerves, but he's getting there.

Hate it when we get blase I wouldn't underestimate sevco and they will be strong, we don't know if any players will be missing Al say it again ad take a draw or a one mil right now.

I think we should stop passing back to our cb, as we seem to put them under more pressure especially when teams are closing us down and I can see us making a mistake, I would rather the ch just cleared the danger and I know I am in the minority here but I think a defenders first job is to defend.

Listening to his presser yesterday he said he had ONE session with the team before his first game and since then it's been almost non-stop games and travelling. He also mentioned that he's still loving in a hotel. It must be quite difficult.

The point of playing out from the back is about drawing the opposition out and picking them off from the spaces that leaves. It can be risky but you can see the rewards when it goes right, and that’s only after a few weeks. There will definitely be failures along the way, but is there anybody out there who isn’t absolutely lovin watching us now? Opposition and Sevco excluded 😊.
