On Eddy. how much is this season worth? what's the deal with CL qualification next season? If Ange gets his head right and he is our top no9 would we accept winning the league with Eddy on fire and leaving for nowt? I would!

If Eddy isn't committed then he won't be on fire. Therein lies the problem. HH.

Am sorry guys but Eddy and others dragged us down deliberately in my view last season. He was a great talent on his day but we cannot risk him wrecking the momentum we are building. Eddy only thinks of himself, and for that reason i do not want him near our team. If we cannot sell him then stick him in the B team.

Out him, been playing the fans along since start of last season, he’s a trier one day then doesn’t lift a leg the next. Thought he was too big for us, betrayed us.

You can look at it two ways he will play out his skin to get best club possible and big signing on fee. Only problem is he might down tools after Jan when he has signed pre contract.

Fully agree. He will play well until January then sign pre contract agreement elsewhere then he can move for a nominal fee in Jan so we don’t have him here when he wants out and we get to save in wages and a nominal fee that we could use to bring in a player on loan for remainder of season.
I think club should sell him for £10m now though and move on with Nesbit for season ahead.

Last season still rankles with me as far as some of them go and there are still two or three I would not miss. Add Jullien, Johnston and Griffiths to that as they are as bad as a man-short anyway.

I know there is a lot of chat about players not giving a sh*t last season and quite rightly, they have received a lot of criticism due to the enormity of last season. This season however it appears that those same players are now turning up. For me if a players head is not in it, then the manager should see and know this particularly if they are working with them day in day out. As such the manager should have had the balls to drop these players last season, though the bigger issue may have been the way Celtic were playing last year meant players looked poorer than what they actually were. You only need to look at this season, with the right manager playing the right way, players embrace it and if they enjoy it they ultimately play better too. Excuse the rant, but the buck stopped with Neil Lennon last year, continuing to play these players and the tactics he did. Also the board should have acted quicker too removing him.

Ladt season is gone. The only thing thst matters is winning the league and securing that CL money to strengthen further. I don't believe he even exists, but i woukd play yhe fecking Devil himself to put they barstewards back in their place. If eddy stays we get behind him. He wasnt the only one who didn't hit form. or attitude, he did finish top scorer in the country. let's not cut our nose off to feck ourselves up. nre season, clean. slate. COYBIG.

I personally think lennon and his attitude/ man management skills was the main problem. Along with what was going on in training ground. Ange clearly makes things more enjoyable and that shows the players are enjoying their football playing with no fear.

The main reason for last season's underperforming midfield, and therefore team, is playing his football somewhere else this season.

Celtic have opened negotiations over the transfer of Greece international Georgios Giakoumakis, the Dutch Eredivisie's leading goalscorer last season.

Manager Ange Postecoglou is understood to have played a central role in the pursuit of the 26-year-old, calling the striker personally to detail his plans for him.

A transfer fee in the region of £2.5million is expected to be sufficient to secure Giakoumakis from VVV-Venlo, who were relegated from the Netherlands' top tier last season despite the forward scoring 26 times in 30 league appearances.

That return was seven better than PSV's Donyell Malen, who was subsequently sold to Borussia Dortmund for €30m (£26m) .

VVV director of football Stan Valckx admitted: “We still assume Jako (Giakoumakis) will be sold soon for the amount we have in mind.
