What's the thoughts on Christie?

One of many who didn't turn up last year but so far this year, has been decent and seems to be playing with a smile on his face,

I don't know what the offer was or whether he wants to leave but surely 20 -25k a week and playing at Parkhead would be better than joining the likes of Burnley.

Ad sign him up he's playing well and can do things most can't, and works hard no brainer.

Apparently his agent (Dad) was touting him around last season and - like a good few others - his head was up his bahookie.
It seems a question of, is he playing well because he wants to stay and earn a big contract under Ange's guidance, or is he putting himself in the shop window?

He certainly seems to be enjoying it at the minute, the next couple of weeks will be more conclusive. He’s never had a good game against the Sevconians and obviously az are a step up again in quality. Last season he was one of the worst, it seemed to be all about him. Take all the corners which went nowhere and shoot from everywhere apart from at the goal. However I think he wants to move so if that’s the case he may as well go in this window and we move on.

i think a lot of people forget the state lennon was in while managing these guys. it was like looking at a visual mental breakdown. you can only imagine the atmosphere about the place. if that was my work environment id have been wanting out as well. its very changed days at the club. maybe this is having a huge effect on some of the wantaways who are now remembering what its like tp play at a happy celtic?

Ed had posted a week or 2 ago that Christie is looking for £30k/ week Nd celtic were not willing to pay that. Ange clearly wants him at parkhead and to replace him would be more than the contract. It's a no brainer for me. I think we need to try and move on from last year and have a complete fresh start for everyone committed to the new regime.

SOS- BHOY I guess the club could pay 30k pw for a few exceptional players…. but if Christie got it and it got out…. how many more would be saying “ wait a minute”? Unrest again. The question is…. would most of the squad think Christie is worth top dollar at the club, and accept that he’s on way more than them? A lot of hardworking people are on 25k a year, never mind a week. I know it’s a short career, but come on. For playing a game with a ball? I know it’s how the world is…. but this old guy can’t see Messi being owed 30million plus in “ back wages” as something reasonable.
