Probably not popular post but I would let Christie run down his contract and put himself in shop window. I think the few months we could get out of him playing to his full would be worth more than the peanuts we would get now on a fee (including any sell on clause) I think he has been treated terribly by the club and could have gone from strength to strength years ago if he wasn't farmed out for so long. His attitude last season was awful but I don't blame him- his potential was there for all to see at ICT and in all those Dons games! Putting it out here now, he will spend one or two seasons tops at a mediocre EPL team before rising to at least top 6! We never knew what we had.

Totally agree with you. A lot of people on here have been slagging him off, unfairly in my eyes.

As you said, we won't appreciate him until we don’t have him.

I think it would be a massive mistake to let him go. I think if Ange likes him so hopefully he will not be going nowhere.

Top 6 premier league your obviously at the wind up looking for bites. He's a decent player but not that level and never will be.

Christie is a good player, in flashes, but we have too many of them. He's neither a striker nor a midfielder. He goes missing when the going gets tough.

We need players of the ilk of Stan Petrov or Alan Thompson, midfielders who provide good defensive cover, and weigh in with as many goals as Christie does. Midfielders who don't give the ball away easily, who work their socks off, and never go missing.
