Birger Meling joins Nimes for €1m. A bargain for me. Would have liked to have seen him sign for us.

I am surprised with Celtic.
A 25 year old International player for under a million pounds.
That is normally the kind of player we try and sign.
Celtic must think he is not good enough.

True Jimtim maybe there is a reason this kid has not moved onto bigger things but at that price I would have taken a punt on him especially as we paid £3m for Bollingoli 🙈.

I'd take a punt on you IceMan over Bolingoli! Meling had a great game against us at CP when he scored but I have to say the other times I seen him he didn't really stand out. Not sure why so many people kept mentioning his name. I've got no problems people suggesting players that have caught their eye at all but it's got to be after more than a few games. At that sort of price he might well be better than Bolingoli, at least Meling is actually a left back. But truth is I don't want us to be taking any more punts on that position. We got 25m for a LB that I think most of us agreed was worth that. So let's go and get a bit of real quality.
