People blaming investment and the board this morning are way off IMO.

Lennon had the players last night to secure a victory and his selection cost us a place in the next round.

This isn't the first time either.
Against Cluj he leaves 10 million worth of defenders sitting on bench and changed the system that had just won the away leg. We get pumped out.

Copenhagen he leaves 2 right backs out, breaks up our central defensive partnership and plays a central defender at right back. We get pumped out.

Lennon's masterstrokes cost us in Europe this year not investment.

And before people start defending him and saying how good he's doing in our league, he has to take the criticism as well at the praise.

Well for a start Bauer is a rb that never plays so he didn't leave him out. frimpong is a young player who defensively is suspect. and we have played 3 at the back regularly with success. the players didn't turn up the front 3 or 4 were off it all night is that the managers fault if players don't turn up. The goals were a joke and you'd see better defending in a school boy game.

Fair assessment Kev.

Think it was amateur after we equalised to not sit in and try and take it to extra time as they were clearly going to go for it as they only needed the one goal to essentially win the tie.

I said to my dad before the game that I feared the worse, and I wasn't let down🤣.

Well said Kev. Play the right players in the correct positions and you have a good chance of winning otherwise you are on to a doing. I'm sure he does this stuff to try look clever. Let's get the 9 and another treble.

I agree with you Kev. I am a great supporter of Lenny and believe he has done great things for us and will continue to do so. Last night he played Rogic and Elyounoussi who are very short of first class minutes, and two, Broony and James Forest who were obviously struggling from the first minute, so he should have his hands in the air today and take responsibility.
The fact remains that he has not failed in Europe, this is as close as we get, this is our level at these competitions, many may see it as an opportunity missed, I Do, but we don’t have a better record since way back when.
Lenny’s job is to get us to the league title, bread and butter issues, he has delivered one cup so far this season and we are still in the bag for the other, so no failure there.
We as a team cannot be perfect every time, and some of the displays last night were certainly not that, but it’s Lenny who will revitalize the squad and push them on to what really matters, the league and cup.

We should of stuck to a 352 at home especially, really put it to them, eddy and griff could of terrorised them, but there just can't be any excuses for terrible defending and mistakes, simo made the mistake plus julien falling over when if he stayed up would of cleared it, 2nd goal was just bad play the pass to brown caught him flat footed and they had a overload, 3rd goal was just sheer determination from the striker but equally shouldn't off passed through our defence so easy. Unfortunately in games where we seem favourites in europe the pressure gets to us. can't hammer the team to much because they've picked up so much since the break and given great effort just on the night mistakes cost us, but at least we still have a league and cup to go for so the season isn't over.

Right mally for a start bauer was registered in the European squad and didn't play. So yes he was left out.
Frimpong played last week away from home and we got a positive result.
Last night we did not play the 3-5-2 formation that has been successful for most of the game we had a back 4 with a bloody CB at right back.

Bauer never plays so he wasn't left out. frimpong is all over the place at rb. we started with a 4 and went to a 3 which was being lauded on here, but because ajer defends like a school boy and jozo mirubbishs a pass back it's lennons messing with the system. absolute nonsense.

{Ed007's Note - So when things are going well Lennon gets all the praise but when the wheels come off like last night it's nothing to do with him?}

No I agree with Kev. did I just say that lol. Lenny''s arrogance cost us last night again when it mattered most. He thinks he is more tactically nous than he actually is. Instead of allowing our team to flow last night he tinkered and results were akin to an unrehearsed magician messing up all his act.

No ed he deserves to be criticised when it goes wrong . he said himself he wasn't going to do a slippy and blame the players but come on look at 2 of the goals that was all down to the players the same players that have been doing well.

{Ed007's Note - Ajer is never a RB, starting him there was a mistake and if Brown wasn't fully fit he shouldn't have started - has he learnt nothing from risking Elyounoussi in the LC final.}

Celtic did have a good enough team to beat Copenhagen. Last nights result was definitely Lennon’s fault for showing Copenhagen too much respect with his formation and lineup. I was super confident until I seen the team he was putting out.
I still think we were let down by the board in January also and I feel they have been let out of jail because of the Sevco meltdown in the league.

He never plays because he gets LEFT OUT. If he wasnt left out hed be on the park. Your trying to twist it to your arguement and all it's doing it showing that your talking nonsense.

Any fit player that does not play has been left out.

The only change to that defence should have been taylor for hayes and if that was it I think we win that game.

You've got to play to be left out and he never plays. the tie should have been over last week is it the managers fault we missed 6 great chances. and last night ajer challenging like a big lassie. lenmon ain't perfect but the players were hoid enough they just didn't perform.
