Got to love these Celtic bloggers.
James Forrest is someone I liked reading though I don't always agree with him his writing is good.
Just disagreed with him on Facebook after he was going on about Simpson's assault charge.
Pointed out Lennon and Griffiths both have problems in the past and it didn't stop us signing them.
So he blocked me. 😂😂.

Kev, all people have a past mate you are bang on there. Simpson should be given his chance he is obviously a good player having played in the pub league most of his career.

These bloggers can be far to critical and unforgiving sometimes not that I condemn what went on in his past.

He could prove to be shrewd business.

Here's what I wrote EA to get blocked.

We've got a manager that threatened a woman that he's get someone to hold a knife to her throat because she was going to grass him in for messing around with her
We have striker who has been charged by both the SFA and the police for 2 separate acts of racism but we ain t demanding them be kicked out the club or marches to Lennox town.

Now I ain't condoning what he done or saying we should sign him but some serious double standards at work here.

Just read his piece there Kev. While I don’t condone Simpson’s past, it is in the past and for me everyone is capable of making mistakes in life, it’s how u deal with those mistakes going forward that’s important for me. Must be great to for James Forrest who wrote the piece to be in a position of living a mistake free life and look down on anyone who has made mistakes.

You sound a drama queen Kev.
No charges were brought against Lennon and he carried on as Bolton manager.
He apologised for his behaviour which could mean he was apologising for getting involved with another woman. The media jumped on the apology and are insinuating it was for something more sinister.
You can always tell which guys watch all the soaps.

{Ed007's Note - This is from his time as a Celtic player.... and there is also cases under D-Notices that we aren't allowed to talk about.

Leon it's all well documented and Lennon was asked write out about the knife threat in a press conference and didn't deny it.

MY point in the full thing is we can't say don't sign Simpson for his past while turning a blind eye to our own manager and one of our top players.
How that's being a drama queen I don't know.

You were quick off the mark with that one Ed. Finger at the ready because I can remember on here, not too long ago, when the same subject was brought up and it was being said that Lennon put a knife to a womans throat which was dramatising the whole thing.
There is a good few years in jail, the difference between threatening someone and actually doing it like Simpson and Flanagan.
Its Thursday, I think Eastenders is on later.

{Ed007's Note - Nobody said Lennon put a knife to anyone's throat - it was proven and he apologised because he threatened the woman with a knife. So it would be OK with you if someone threatened your Mrs or daughter as long as the person doesn't actually carry it out, endless streams of abusive calls & texts terrifying them and you wouldn't phone the police?
Unbelievably it's actually illegal to send someone threatening messages AND you can get jailed for threatening someone.

www.sentencingcouncil.org.uk/offences/magistrates-court/item/threats-to-kill/

Those pesky laws getting in the way of Neil Lennon's misogyny and sordid private life eh? If people are allowed a second chance how many second chances has Lennon had so far?
Celtic fans are quick to pontificate about Gazza & Flanagan but aren't as keen to shine the same light on 'one of their own' who has a history of abusing and threatening multiple partners.}

Ed and Kev, you are both correct, its not okay to threaten anyone and mud does stick and it will get brought up from time to time, which is understandable.
Kev, I was only kidding about the soaps because i know your a mans man 💪.

Pretty sure most people have done something they’re not proud of in life, some worse than others. In the case of Simpson, for me if he’s signed, as long as he gives his all in the hoops then that’s all I’m interested in.

Simpson's personal life aside, he's the wrong side of the hill as a footballer. And wasn't spectacular enough in his prime to take on in his twilight years.

Jim wasn't he a right important part of the squad that won the EPL for Leicester city?

I would say he was Kev. Was a right solid right back in the season Leicester won the title.

Garry like I said I like his writing but don't always agree.
But he constantly gets stuck in to our press and shouts about how they block him on Twitter if he pulls them up but then does the same. Never even said anything rude.

The blogger Forrest has became like a lot of the posters on this site, grumpy entitled wallopers that would rather complain than get behind the team.

A title winner aye bhoys. But one that needs a trial? I think that they were all as important as eachother Kev. Consistent yes, a stand out though, no. He's ok defensively but got nothing going forward. It was a fantastic team achievement by Leicester. But a better achievement was making Simpson look like a title winning player. And that was then. More recently he's been a weak link. He's a championship level player. I think we can aim for better, or younger with the potential to be better.

Well I can’t say I’ve seen him much lately but the season they won the title and the season after I thought he looked a solid right back that could defend and I’d rather that that one that’s good going forward but poor in defence.

Even if we bring him in I think there will be another right back brought in.
