Seriously? As the post above says “ get a grip”. if that’s how bad you’d really feel, how do u think that mob across the city feel having won nothing for long enough. Some fans forget what it’s like to win nothing. We’ve been spoiled these past 8 years and long may it continue, get behind Lennon and the boys. It’s support they need not the negativity.

Not sure why people are being so negative at the min. Lennon came in at a difficult time and guided Celtic over the line in the league and winning the cup. He overcame hibs Away, the dons and hearts to win the cup. The guy deserves a chance to prove himself before getting slated. It is bad enough listening and seeing the Muppets from the other side of the city think they have won the title due to this appointment without the celtic support joining in before a ball is kicked. I definitely think he has matured as a person and manager since he was first in charge. If lawell backs the manager in the transfer market to add with the quality players we keep of the squad we will have the best players to keep winning.

I really hope I am wrong with this but he hasn't inspired me since he has been manager I guess you have seen other games to what I have seen LUCKY to win the cup tactics all wrong against servco yeah great manager.

We’ve watched the same games tony2bhoy, the football hasn’t been great, far from it and there has been times his tactics, selection have been questioned and if I’m honest I wasn’t sure who I really wanted our next manager to be, but the board have made their decision and we must get behind Lennon and the players who stay and the ones that come in. Put it this way with the core we have like, ajer, jozo, mcgregor, Forrest, brown, edouard, tierney to name but a few, add 4/ 5 quality additions I’d I’d sooner have our squad than any other in the country. certainly not all doom and gloom as some would suggest.

He won more in 3 months than slippy did all season.

9.) 31 May 2019

That's not the point about won more than Slippy The point is his tactics at some of the games have been non existent in some and the game play not much better if we go into Europe with that standard we will get pumped even from standard teams
Against servco his answer to getting over run was to rotate the attacking midfield that is why I think that this appointment is bad and going backwards but that is only my opinion And if we play as poorly as we have done this past 3 months 9iAR is at risk needlessly.

Tony2bhoy, tell me this, up until that defeat at ibrox in December do you think we were playing great free flowing football that was pleasing on the eye? This season as a whole for me the performances haven’t been great and that includes under Rodgers, yes there’s been the odd good performance but in the main they haven’t been great. As for getting pumped in Europe under Lennon. are u serious? Some of our “ worst pumping” in Europe came under Brendan’s watch.

{Ed007's Note - A 3-1 loss against Sion and only getting into the EL because of their blatant disregard for the rules by their nutter of an owner, the 3-0 loss to Braga in CL qualifiers, 5-0 loss over both legs with Juventus, 6-1 against Barca, 3-0 against AC Milan at Celtic Park were all on Neil Lennon's watch.
What now, will we compare Lennon's domestic cup record with Rodgers? 2 Scottish Cup wins, out of 12 trophies between the Scottish Cup and League Cup we won 2 trophies. As a comparison, Ronny Deila was here for 2 years less than Lennon and won one league title and one cup less. Out of 12 trophies Lennon won 5, out of 6 Deila won 3.}

I can only assume that in Lennon’s tenure, the European trophies are counted whereas in Ronnie’s tenure, you only counted the domestic trophies. Would that be correct?

{Ed007's Note - No, try using your toes as well.}

Yeah you are correct we haven't been great this year at all but going back to the December game we had a lot of players out with injury and some that were playing were carrying a bug as far as I am aware. But I can honestly say seeing his team getting over run in midfield Brendan answer would not be to swap the aattacking midfield players to the other side of the pitch But I guess doing that makes him a good manager? Seeing the Farts set up like they did in the cup final no change in formation to counter that And if we didn't get that penalty I don't think we would have won that game but again we were lucky to get the win and that makes Lenny a great manager because of luck not tactics.

I am sorry your text was deleted for what ever reason COYBIG really I know you are a passionate Celtic supporter and I respect you for that All of us have different views on how our club is going and its great to have a site like this to air our opinion whether we agree or disagree But I still have respect for any one that supports or follows Celtic even though I disagree with some points.

Fair enough Tony. You’re right, we’re all passionate and because of that we sometimes take it a little too far. I was probably a bit condescending in my response to your comments so I’ll apologise for that. The text that was deleted wasn’t aimed at you. That all said, I think my time has come to an end here but I would like to say all the best to you all and if you find it in your heart to give Lenny a fighting chance, I think he will deliver for us. God bless and Hail Hail!

Ed I respect your opinion and your right when you mention the European results you have under Lennon. I was merely pointing out that the results in Europe under Rodgers weren’t great either. Sure I’d still Rodgers hadn’t jumped ship and stayed for the 10 in a row but he did jump and now the boards made the Decision to go with Lennon. We as fans can debate/ argue about it till the cows come home but it’s done. Every fan will celebrate each win and criticise each loss regardless of who the manager was. I’m just staggered the Ill feeling towards Lennon and next season hasn’t even begun. We get enough negative press and crap fae that mob across the city without us joining in with them. What I will say is Lennon has no excuse come the start of the season. It’ll be his squad, no mistake about it. The core of players who stay I’d suggest we’d all be happy to keep, it’s what’s added to that squad that’s going to be interesting. Lennon will have to get the quality desired because excuses like not his team, not his tactics, and certainly team selections on the day all now come down to him.

{Ed007's Note - It doesn't matter what players come in, the archaic style of football will be dire to watch.}
