I do not quite know where to start and where to end with what I want to say, but here goes, and before I start I am not 'one of them' but in fact a very, very unhappy Tim.
On a footballing level, we all know that we have been short changed, but we let it go because we love our club and we hope and pray what we are promised does actually become reality. We watch these CL games in our minds knowing we are not good enough, especially since we are not the team we were last year. But as celtic fans, we know that we have something special about our club, something that separates us from every other club in the world.
This however is fading and I will explain why I feel this way. Peter Lawell has angered me so much in recent times. He has pocketed plenty of money and given us cheap rubbish in return. He plays on the fans being the 12th man and how wonderful and well behaved our fans our etc. But in fact he takes, takes and takes and gives little back and it disgusts me. He will not reinvest properly in the squad, for gods sake he won't even pay the normal staff at celtic the minimum wage. And where is the support of the fans that were set upon in Amsterdam by their police force? Sure he made noises of intent at the time, but since then, like the politician he has become - very little has actually happened - it has been left to us fans to help ourselves in times of trouble.
Now I do not support pro-IRA or such banners in our crowds being displayed. However I am a realist, we are of a unique background - but for peter lawell to come out on the attack on a certain minority of our support speaking in a manor which suggests he is talking on behalf of every celtic fan angered me unbelievably today - not because I agree with the banners, but because Lawell first and foremost should be apologising to us fans for lying and cheating us on a number of occasions not attacking fans. He should be reaching out to us admitting his wrong doings and for the way he has ignored the support and for letting us down tremendously whilst he has been pursuing his political career and focusing on his balance sheet.
He can speak on behalf of celtic when celtic back him fully, and I don't believe we all do. He is becoming a monster and it was obvious that he has dirty hands in the whole rangers affair by his out right refusal of allowing a fair and unbiased vote during the AGM to ask the world football bodies to investigate.
As time goes by, he will continue to patronisingly pat wee timmy on the head and say we are great, at the same time he will continue to take our money, make the club richer and himself with it and there will be no improvement on the European scale.
WE ARE BEING USED and the worst thing is he has a platform through the PR and press machines to say and do as he pleases.
WHERE IS OUR PLATFORM AS FANS TO TELL HIM WHAT WE THINK AND FOR HIM TO HAVE TO LISTEN - there isn't one and the avenues we do pursue have not worked to date.
I used to be a very, very proud celtic fan who always knew in my heart that whatever happened, wherever we fell down, that we where different from all the clubs for example down south (that got big and became cash machines) and no longer had a real tie to their fans - I feel the magic we have is being eroded and soon we will just be the same as all the others and this angers me, but mostly deeply saddens me.
We need change and we need to be heard.
No doubt some will feel the need to attack me for speaking my mind, but say hand on heart that Lawell always has our best interests in mind - as I do not believe he does.
I love my and our Celtic family, but things are not right at the moment - far from it.
Hail Hail and god bless.

Peter Lawell might not be the most popular person at Parkhead just now but he has every right to attack the boycott brigade. They are an absolute disgrace and continue to think they are more important than the club. I would love to know how many of them could even tell you the score after last nights game. Get rid of the pronto before they land us in major trouble!

I completely agree with you WTbhoy. Also DesH I believe you completely misread WTbhoy's view on the Green Brigade, he is not defending them.
