Following on from thread yesterday about pricing etc. I also have a gripe about stadium catering prices. I take my 2 girls to game and we now bring in our own snacks/drinks as inside too expensive. I also know Mrs E takes her boys to game and also does not like the dearer prices inside Celtic Park. It seems a lot of other fans have same complaint.
Celtic seem to treat us fans like the cinemas do, a "captured" audience who have to pay their prices or do without.
Surely, with all the business acumen within our club, someone could sit down and work out what it costs to provide food/drinks and how much footfall (ie people buying it) we have.
Then work out a reduced overall catering price on all products based on more volume and turnover, but not forgetting quality. Get local businesses on board ie pie makers, butchers, bakeries, agree a price based on volume they supply.
Another gripe is length of time it takes to get served particularly at half time. Why not try out the American vending systems at their grounds.
Specific outlets selling only one product, pies, burgers, soups etc. obviously also selling tea/coffee/juices and sweets.
My idea being with the local businesses on board we could offer different/speciality types of pies, burgers etc.
even an American style coffee stall.
If it is successful, Celtic will make more money but also more importantly, help their fans with decent reasonable pricing. Timalloy

I agree I own a cafe and for example I sell tea for £1 per cup I make 78p profit on it, I sell coffee for £1.95 I make £1.50 profit same with food ever thing makes me at least double the cost. But IMO I can't see the prices coming down and if they do it won't be by a substantial amount.

Don't go to the catering stalls at celtic park because the price and the que in the main stand is ridiculous, over £8 for a hot dog meal and the standard is gash

To be fair to the club they pay the staff in the stalls well
