The Japan manager has suggested he won’t be able to call up Kyogo for his World Cup Qualifiers because it’s being made “difficult”.
Maybe it’s the same for all of the Japanese overseas players.

If the new Bhoys settle quickly then the decision by the Japan manager not to call them up could be massive for us in the second half of the season.

{Ed007's Note - It was really only Kyogo that had any chance of getting a call-up, Pedro, Hatate (24 y.o.) has never been capped at senior level, Ideguchi (25 y.o.) hasn't been near the national team since 2019 the same as Maeda (24 y.o.).
I mentioned their international careers when were were signing them as I was surprised that Ideguchi in particular qualified for a work permit.}

The rumour is Kyogo is out for 4 months.

The reason Kyogo is out for so long is he has ruptured his hamstring,4 months minimum.

Thank you Ed, I didn't realise that was the case.

If Kyogo is not getting called up next month, then we could go into the game against SEVCO with a full squad (all being fit/ available) of players to choose from as well as being able to make upto 5 subs. ?

That’s some made up Twitter bs if you ask me. Kyogo has some pics on his Insta out walking about some rocky hills on Jan 1st if he had ruptured his hammy as rumoured he would be in crutches unable to use the affected leg.

{Ed007's Note - No way Kyogo is out for 4 months, T - now we know where The Poet gets his info from ??

The account that made up the rumour also tried to start the same rumour on the 11/ 12 8 days before he scored 2 in the cup final.

If the boy can score 2 in a cup final. Then go hill walking with a ruptured hammy he really is a MACHINE.

Playing him in the cup final was a gamble, that turned out perfect, playing him against St. Johnstone, instead of giving him and his hamstring a rest, was madness.

{Ed007's Note - Why, because one situation worked out and the other didn't?}

When a Japanese says something is "difficult" that means it's impossible, not going to happen. It's a way of avoiding saying no. Kyogo won't be in that team.

Ed, Ideguchi has more full caps for Japan than the other 3 combined .

{Ed007's Note - I know and it's a bit worrying that 3 players we've signed are nowhere near their national squad when you consider they hype around them.}

Is that not just because of the way the university system works within japanese football? Most don't turn professional until after they're 21.

{Ed007's Note - Well Ideguchi got 11 of his 15 caps in 2017 when he would be 20/21.}

I hope that all the fans don't expect the 3 new signings to hit the ground running the same way as Kyogo it might take them a few games to find their way. Saying that I am really excited about tonight really tough task but I still think we will win In Ange we trust.
