Great to see. The more improvements celtic can make in the infrastructure and facilities will only benefit the club as a whole.

Can anyone explain why this is being built at Barrowfield? Not knocking it at all but all training is carried out in the Lennoxtown complex and the players don't go near CP until matchday. Do we have the room to build a full size undercover pitch at Lennoxtown?
Just a bit confused unless there is also a commercial side to it.

@BigRab my understanding is Celtic pledged to help the local community around Barrowfield
Also upgrading Barrowfield means players are closer to Celtic Park, heard there are plans not just for full size indoor pitch but upgrade of dressing room facilities and place for players to eat.
My Tim pal who knows more than me also said it is a tribute to Tommy Burns who had this vision of a modernised Barrowfield years ago.
I just wish they had kept open plans for club Hotel
I saw online MKDons and Blackpool have new hotels near their grounds and if small clubs like that can do it, why not Celtic.

Thanks Tim. I'm definitely not against the idea of the players spending more time at Barrowfield. Tommy Burns always wanted it to have top class facilities.
Agree about the hotel but maybe its just not the right time at the moment.

Barrowfueld is ideal for first team and an Indoor pitch is long overdue.

Is it not a weather related plan. Trying to get players to travel to lennox Town in winter when it's snowing or icy is dangerous, whilst access to Barrowford would be surely easier. It's a win win to have a complex close.
