Celtic being linked with Japanese Man City CB Itakura. He was on loan at Groningen last season (the team we got VVD from) boy looks a player! Itakura/ Vuskovic is a young exciting partnership for next season if it happens.

Personally I can't see the Japanese boy coming in any time soon if he does. He has been called up to the Japan Olympics squad so by the time it's finished and if he needs to quarantine we will be looking at towards the end of August before he gets here.

What was the last exciting young centre half partnership we had? VVD and denayer? One from groningen and one from man City, hopefully history repeats itself.

If we where to sign the guy there is no doubt he would get released from the Japan squad, has already happened with another player.

There not the type of country who come the person when there players are getting big moves.

Could be an ideal loan to buy deal if he settles in. Looks like a signing to get passed around City Group and their affiliates (which we are) rather than for Man City. Can't imagine he'd cost the earth to sign permanently if we agree a fee first.

A loan to buy would be a good move. Can see big Jullien wanting away next summer so Itakura could be his replacement.
