Another old pals act if Keane gets it. I love him, but, not as a manager. Bottom line is that what we want or hope for doesn't matter. My fear is not a single one of the guys mentioned, Howe, Rafa, etc would take it and it will be someone like Keane. If it was him or Ross then he would get My vote, and it at just turn out that way.

It’s a tough one for me, as a manager he wouldn’t be my choice. I personally would like someone like Rogers that could coach players, improve them and have a decent style. Also I’d like someone who could tactically change games, I may be doing Keane a disservice but he doesn’t strike me as that type .
On the other hand, our team this season has been flat, lazy, unfit and at times have not look bothered. With Keane in charge we could safely say that wouldn’t be the case . That’s what is a tough choice for me, maybe if we were coming from a position of strength, the first type would have been my choice, now we look to be chasing them potentially Keane may be the best option.
It would seem that for whatever reason we don’t seem to have the pull or finances to pull in a really top operator, that’s where we seem to be at the minute. Although I’m starting to think that time is becoming a major issue as we seem to have a lot of changes needed and if we don’t sort something out soon we will be struggling next season as well.

I like Keane for obvious reasons but manager not sure, wheres the evidence of him developing players and improving them, did OK at Sunderland and Ipswich was a bit of a disaster, av a feeling the press up here would have a field day with him due to his aggressive manner. but if it's him Al back him to the hilt.

{Ed007's Note - It would be worth appointing him for the press conferences alone - Keane would run rings round the hacks up here.}

Keane for head of public relations would be ideal.

Keane did a great job at Sunderland, who are my English team and my Sunderland supporting family liked him. I actually don't think he would be a disaster and would hope that time with O'Neill may have benefitted him. Whoever comes in, the recruitment needs to be spot on this season.

If it was Keane and Martin O Neill as DOF I’d be delighted tbh. I’d also take Keane as manager if he could get a top quality coach to coach the side while he manages team. Sean Maloney as 1st team coach responsible for getting the players fit and technically ready and tactically organises and Keane to have the aura and pick the side, do team talks and deal with press would be brilliant.
If we can get Keane in alongside someone playing good cop bad cop he could be a shrewd acquisition and excites me more than Eddy Howe who is a decent coach but can’t manage big characters, Steve Clark who gets best out a bad bunch but who’s teams are the definition of boring or Chris Wilder who by all accounts has done very well at Sheff Utd other than this disaster of a season but is not a yes man and our board would never appoint him in that basis.
