A follow up to my last post on tues

Club have made contact with Spurs in regards to Ryan Sessegnon Spurs are willing to split his wages 50/ 50 however are looking a 2.5 million loan fee which is 10% of the fee they paid for him.

Club however are not willing to pay 50% plus 2.5million for the year. Fully expect this one to rumble on over the weekend. Ryan Sessegnon has many suitors in EPL however is keen on the move to Celtic after his representatives held discussions with the recruitment team.

The James Forrest injury is worse than expected and the club are working behind the scenes to see if they can get a Right sided winger over the line before the deadline.

Club have remained firm over the sale of players however have a set price on the head of 4 of those who have been enquired about.

Club will be busy before the close of play.

Daithi94 also heard that Sessegnon is a real possibility along with another winger.
Also been told we should be making a move for the American boy McKenzie as this window will probably be our best chance of getting him.

There should be no big players leaving but a few more reserves will head out in loan.

At the start of this seemingly never-ending 'window', I was adamant we added the quality that would improve us on last season. However, after so much speculation and revelations of unhappy players; I would just have to hope we end up no weaker than when the window opened?
After yet another side-to-side, predictable first half last night, there's no doubt we really need more pace and flair middle to front.

Celtic_mad we already have that player sitting on the bench in Turnbull and I don't know what the kid needs to do to get a game. In the short time I seen him last week he showed more than enough to justify getting a chance IMO.
Again that was a really poor team we were up against last night, who tired badly late on, so I was hoping he'd have started or at least come on at half time when it was 0-0. We were dominating possession as usual without being much of a threat.
If only there was a league for dominating possession, we'd be right up there with the best lol.

well we have turnbull and soro who would do that but lenny likes the stats of possession, makes his tactics look good.

If there was a league for dominating possession , we'd be given the ball less

We need to stop confusing having possession and controlling the game

When a team gives you the ball and sets deep, waiting to pounce, then in reality, are we controlling anything?

Lubo, So you think teams just give us the ball?

The bit were I said we'd be right up there if there was a league for dominating position was humour hence the lol. Sorry if that went over your head.

When we continue to play the ball sideways and backwards we will have control of the ball without offering any threat. This is what I'm getting at so I'm not "confusing having possession and controlling the game ". It seems like you're the only one confused here!

On the game last night though we were in total control of the match IMO and the opposition were seldom out their own half which is why I'd have liked to have seen Turnbull being brought on to help create more going forward. I must have been watching a different game if you say they were just sitting deep waiting to pounce. The game I was watching had the opposition struggling to string a couple of passes together. They weren't waiting to pounce as you put it, they were just rank rotten.

Finally, on your "When a team gives you the ball and sets deep, waiting to pounce, then in reality, are we controlling anything" Id say yes we would be controlling possession.

Yes some teams who play better counter attack are happy for us to have the ball yes. Then we lose it in bad areas and are exposed. This will be the tactics when we play Sevco without a doubt.
