I was happy the club started doing there business early but the non signing of a right back, when we released a couple and Lennie doesn’t obviously fancy Ralston is starting to look amateurish . We can’t keep getting away with playing Ajer there, especially in important games like the qualifiers . Generally mistakes in that competition, even at an early stage like we are in are punished. We all know for the last year or so we needed a new dynamic right back even if mika was to stay but still nothing has been done. After such a long wait for a right back I would want a really good one brought in, Tommy Smith hardly stood out for me anyway, when he wasn’t starting for a relegation favourite he can’t have been all that good . We have waited this long, I’d love a really good one to come in. But we can’t keep waiting as it could cost us the champions league and the riches it brings for us.

Couldn’t agree more Quinn. I really hope we have a few signings left up our sleeve especially at RB. I didn’t really see much change in how we played on Tuesday night so really need a few bodies to freshen things up.

Agree Quinn 100%, right back was the priority area and there really should have been a deal done before Lustig and Gamboa left.

It's not a new problem.

Signing up O'Donnell from Kilmarnock looking more likely by the day as paper talk targets keep joining other clubs. Given the relatively small outlay maybe he should be signed and when a first team starter is available from abroad (probably someone we've not heard of) then there's cover/ competition.

I'm liking the French connections at the moment - maybe there's a wee diamond in Ligue 1 that will complement big Jullien well.

Maybe a bit unfair on the club. The fact that our first 2 choices, Justin and Stacey, both went to the Premiership. Smith looks like going elsewhere also. We are definitely trying hard to get a RB in. Of all the names linked my choice would have been Ankerson but I'm not sure that'll happen either.

Think that's the problem now though. We aren't going to get our preferred target now. Whoever we fancy for right back now, just go in, offer what the club is asking and stop faffing about. Same with Sawyers, pay the asking price for christs sake. Or is the chance to be history makers not enough for these players? We might not be the pull that we all think our club is to these good but hardly box office potential signings.

It's now been reported that he hasn't left Austria at all and has been photographed with his teammates at their hotel. What a carry on. I really hope we get a quality RB in soon as this is frustrating.

I think we all know how obvious it is we need a new right back and we are quite right to question if the work is getting done but just because there hasn't been a signing yet doesn't mean the club aren't trying.
I'm pretty sure Lennon and whoever else is recruiting can see how blatantly obvious it is we need to strengthen but it's not always as straight forward as it seems to get deals done.
We've been linked with 2 guys down south who I'm guessing prefer to stay down there (Stacey and smith) so we have been trying.
Look at this way, the past few years we've barely made any attempt to sign players until the last couple of weeks when it's a risk but we spend 10m in the space of a week before the first qualifier was made so work is getting done.
These games are the hardest I totally agree but we have more than enough quality in the current team to get past the likes of teams in the first 2 rounds.
If we get to the 3rd and play off rounds and still haven't signed a decent right back then Its time to slam the club, until then have faith in Lennon.

There is absolutey loads of RB's out there who are more than capable if we start looking beyond England.

Just a few players who would be well within our reach at different ages and a few out of contract.

Someone at Celtic park is at it trying to get a RB IMO.

Peter Ankersen (28) - Kobenhavn
Sergey Petrov (28) - Krasnador
Joel Veltman (27) - Ajax
Matthias Zimmermann (27) - Dusseldorf
Petar Stojanovic (23) - Dinamo Zagreb
Joakim Maehle (22) - Genk
Robert Gumny (21) - Lech Poznan
Karol Fila (21) - Lechia Gdansk
Cristian Manea (21) - Apollon Limassol
Mehdi Zeffane (27) - No Club
Gregory van der Wiel (31) - No Club.

Kinghenrik I think it's plainly obvious that we are looking beyond England for signings seeing as 2 out 3 of our signings have came from beyond England.

let’s not argue, right backs are coming, it’s just a matter of time.
