Nitcham off to Porto, I think it's ok, apart from one or two efforts, he threw in the towel when Dembelle left, big money plus Mbemba, would be a great deal, no messing about, just get it done.

Not for me the bhoys going to be a star.

Ntcham is quality. He is taking a bit of time to get up to full speed following injury and the emergence of Christie. I'm shocked at the attitude of fellow fans towards him leaving. For his age he has done very well for us and carried the midfield at times. There is not another player like him in Scotland, fact. I would say he will leave for a record transfer in Scottish football in a few years if we get him fit, playing regularly and doing it in Europe. I wonder how many fans calling for a swap with Mbemba have ever seen Mbemba play?

Good post Buster. I'd like us to keep Ntcham as he's a quality young centre mid. But every player has their price. As for Mbemba, I always remember him popping up in these best young talents articles etc. but I wasn't impressed with what I saw at Newcastle. Still young though.

It this true or just the same Porto rumour?

Got to agree Kev, it’s as simple as that the bhoy is going to be a star and as buster said when fully match fit he will grow into controlling the strings in the centre of the park. Sky is the limit for Ntcham.

Couldn't disagree more Malika, the guy's going to be top drawer and a few bad games won't change that. He was the main man in midfield last season and he made everything tick. I'd play him and McGregor and him together with Christie in the No. 10 position at least until Tam comes back from the Asian Cup. A wee run of games alongside a guy who's been consistency personified all season will bring out the best in him rather than playing next to Brown who's arguably been equally as poor in recent weeks.

Ed hit the nail on the head. He's been playing beside brown who's touch has gone and passes have been horrendous. So Ntcham has had to cover or recover and drop deeper than he would like.

Toprig there’s no way you can blame Brown for Ntcham’s poor form. I’m a big Ntcham fan but his form leading up to the game against that lot was poor that’s why he found himself on the bench for a few games. The guy is bound to have a dip in form he can’t be outstanding every game but I’m not having that this was down to playing beside Broony.

I would go with the theory that Brown makes Ntcham not play to his full potential, I don't know, maybe there is a place for Brown in midfield now, in a sort of Nobby Stiles role, but I think his age has caught up with him now and he holds the team back.

Ntcham must be a good player, if he wasn't the MSSM wouldn't bother trying to upset him and create doubt in his mind and in the minds of gullible supporters .
We would be better supporting NtCham and encourage him to play at the height of his ability more often.

Nitcham will be top drawer if he puts in the work.
To say playing with brown has made nitcham poor is just utter nonsense.
Nitcham didn’t try a leg in the sevco game and hid the whole second half, at least brown put himself about, wasn’t his best game but brown never hides.

Ntcham is too inconsistant to be a top drawer player. Take what we can get for him now and move on.
He looks good when he has plenty of time on the ball, but away from home when he gets closed down quicker or playing against good opponents, he struggles to play a first time ball accurately. Most plays stop with him giving the ball away needlessly.
I also feel that sometimes he is not up for the fight and he can put more effort in.

I think Ntcham and McGregor would work a treat in the middle better than Brown and Ntcham. Both rangy passers and both a goal threat too. Agree everyone has their price another season to prove his worth wouldn't be too bad but sell if he's only going to play second fiddle especially if the price quoted is right. But take it with a pinch of salt as it's all likely unsettling tactics.

There is a player in Ntcham and we have seen glimpses of it but his attitude doesn't look right at times. If that can't be fixed and Porto are offering serious cash then sell but only if the money is reinvested in the playing squad.

There may be a player in nitcham but is he the guy u want in the trenches. The games against hibs and rangers in particular he was shocking. He doesn't look like a guy who wants to be there. Yes he is quality but Personally l would take a good offer as l think if it does come he would want to go.

Ntcham has played about 10 good games for us. Find him good when it's going good but when we have to dig in he goes missing.

It wasn't about not hiding, or trying his best, it was the fact he was there instead of McGregor, he disturbed the Feng Shui of the whole midfield, with Brown in midfield he takes over a role, or a position that McGregor or Ntcham would have been interpreting to a much better advantage, but because Brown is more senior and is seen as the 'beating heart' of the team, he is given too much deference by his teammates where as the opposition don't hold him in such high esteem, and they exploit his weaknesses whereas a younger Brown would have brushed them aside, it's called getting old, you always think you are just as fit and effective as you were when you were twenty three, but you're not, you're older and more experienced, but slower, someday you just got to accept it, c'est la vie.

I may have said this before but I think Ntcham brings a certain ‘je ne sais quoi’ to our midfield.
