Could you not keep that negative post to yourself . Surely you didn't have to destroy so many week ends

2.) 15 Jun 2014
You are making absolutely no sense whatsoever.

I will be happy to welcome John Collins back to Celtic, - I honestly don't know why certain fans don't want him. For God's sake he was a great servant, I know he left on a bosman, and at the time I was raging, but it was a Celtic team that was very poor, and I think he felt that the board should have been doing more/showing more ambition! With hindsight we know the other mob only had a great team because they were buying players they couldn't afford/didn't deserve. Anyway let's get behind him, and not judge him for previously wanting the best for himself/having high standards. I know when we signed him, Sevco came in at the last minute and offered him much more money to go there and he was like no chance, never, - even although he knew that he was going to be up against it with us, because the team was so poor, he would still never have joined them. Now I know he doesn't deserve any real credit for that, anyone with anything, really anything, about them would have done the same, I am just stating that he is a Celtic supporter who ended up leaving. Paul McStay should be given a Sainthood for staying with us so long(in the same team as Collins) he knocked back many huge clubs, including a great Sampdoria team, but we all have different characters, and if Collins wanted to leave after great service them you sometimes have to say fair enough, through gritted teeth. With regards his coaching career, I know he hasn't done much, but he hasn't needed to take just any offer - he made good money, and as we know he has very high standards, hence leaving Hibs the way he did. So I think with him he wasn't desperate to take anything - but I do know he is a purist, has great ideas about the game, and as I said, deep down only wants the best for us, so I will be pleased if he joins, and all my mates, family feel the same! Cheers

Great post Paul totally agree with you, even about his coaching he still managed to win a cup for hibs which is about as rare as sevco payin there debt, you could also argue that he has as much if not more experience in coaching than Lenny when he got the job mjallby, Parker, or Robertson under o'Neil who all did not to bad so if it's him good luck to him

If that's true I'm pleased and will be looking forward to supporting a new management team full of energy and spirit. I'm sure Celtic will play with a bit more flair Ronny and JC will allow that. Some people on this sight are deluded to the fact that we are in a recession not just in Scottish football but all over. Expecting world famous names is all good but not as a long term fix they have made their money and no longer have the hunger and passion for the game in Scotland anyway. This comes from an affection to a club or desire to be the best we shall wait and see what we get with RD and who his staff will be.
Hail Hail

Thanks Mally - I'm just wanting everything to settle down now, these qualifiers are so important. We can do without all this negative nonsense before we even make the appointment. We don't want a bad atmosphere at the club before the season even starts. If fans have thoughts on it then fill your boots and tell us why you don't want him, say something constructive/the reasons you don't rate him, instead of horsesh1t about how he can do one. At least have a bit of respect, Collins was super consistent, I don't remember him having a 5/10 game, he was always between a 7 and 9, against the other mob he took them on single-handed at times, so I know get your problem, enlighten me. Hopefully Scott Brown now realizes as well that he was completely out of order if he did freak out because John Collins introduced double sessions - that's how most of the players in this country are rotten, no dedication, no respect, - hopefully starting a week on Tues we are doing triple sessions, and they can stop when we are a bit better! When we start producing world class players, that's when we can start slating guys like Collins for having standards.

Well said mate, I want Celtic players to work like Atletico Madrid, ok so we won't have the skill or ability but the work rate is just as important.

Well Athletico are a great example Kev - their wage bill is supposedly the same as Fulham's. You don't have to be Einstein to realize who is doing things the right way, and who has been found out big time! In life you usually get what you deserve, and when you try and take the p1ss and take short cuts your time comes. I would like to ask the youth coaches their thought on why we can't produce top top players, - there must be a reason! All the other clubs can, not all the time, but we can never do it. Coaching must be a good place to start, and if the kids don't put in the time, they can just jog on to a Morton/Hamilton at 16, instead of hanging around to 21. Does anyone know when the elusive phase 2 of Lennoxtown is starting, God if we can't start it now with all the recent funds we have brought in/lack of spending then it really will be the usual crap we are fed. There is no point money sitting in the bank - build the extra pitches/sleeping quarters etc that Tommy Burns was promised at the outset!

Think Ronny should be allowed free reign to pick his own assistant, no point in getting someone foisted on him that he might not be able to work with.
