Support, ., .kbarry {Ed007's Note - Now there's a shocker ;) I'd have bet my wife's last £ on what way you would vote KB. I was half expecting you to be moaning about the racket they made putting you off your half time prawn sandwich :)

2.) 28 Nov 2013
Would not be upset if we ended up barred from having any home support at first qualifier next season. Its not at Celtic park anyway so losses would be minimised but might send out a message to these persons who are trying to bring this clubs good name down. They also gave PL a chance to deflect from the chronic under investment in the club last season

Personally, give me that over plazzy flags and recorded music after a goal any day.

End of the road as far as I'm concerned. How many last chances or final warnings are needed before they catch on. This group think they are Celtic and are conceited enough to believe they are powerful enough to warrant concessions from the club. Whatever your views of the Offensive Behaviousr Bill (and I happen to agree its a shambles) it is UEFA rules which were broken (again), not those of the bill and the GB were well aware of this. Celtic are 126 years old and survived quite happily without the GB for around 120 of those. It's true they have helped improve atmosphere at games but ultimately they have become an organisation in themselves and, in supporter terms, an elitist one at that. They may wish to consider how they square that with their so called values. This was intended to be a singing section, nothing more. People - paying customers, have been moved to accomodate the GB. Fans have asked repeatedly that the clubs name be respected as have the club and its manager. Nobody however will tell this group how to behave. They apparently are above that. Celtic FC is open to all. Celebrate our traditions of charity and our Irish origin by all means but leave the politics at the door and grow up. As for the infantile and divisive statements who exactly do they think they are. One massive ego! Paul

Ps what you doing betting with your wifes purse anyway, lol and does she know?, ., .kbarry {Ed007's Note - I'm hardly going to use my own money am I?}

6.) 28 Nov 2013
Paul you said it "open to all", ., .kbarry

7.) 28 Nov 2013
"half expecting" ed why and "prawn sandwich" ha, mate I take my 3 bhoys to every home game and my eldest to most away games, that kinda leaves me skint pal they are lucky if they get a pie and bovril or chips at half time. As you may know iam from a big irish family and have had some family members maimed and killed over time, i'll never forgive nor forget that. The banners held up, what if we had just held the wallace banner? Both fighting for freedom imo. Have a little respect mate, ., .kbarry

8.) 28 Nov 2013
Open to all to watch the football and who follow the rules kbarry, not open to all to foist your political views on the rest of us. Open toall means non sectarian and non political. Celebrating culture is absolutely fine but this goes beyong that. You are twisting my wrds in much he same way as te GB did wih their assurances that the banner as related to footblal and to Celtic. Be clear, it was neither. Paul

9.) 29 Nov 2013
Kbarry can I ask you a question, who is STILL fighting in Ireland, they are doing it politically now, I am really sorry to hear about your family and can understand your feeling's but I don't think Celtic Park is the place to voice these feeling's
Tambhoy {Ed007's Note - Ireland is very far from the peaceful place OUR news would have us believe, Tam. but this is not the forum to discuss that. It is the historical part that is open to debate.}

10.) 29 Nov 2013
Tam, I think your question to me has/was answered @paul not trying to twist any words pal, I say it as I see it, and "open to all" your words not mine, ., .kbarry

The end of the day guys, regardless of background, a country's history or political standing, and quite simply fact, football has, and should never have, anything to do with politics, religion or any other form of inciteful bigotry. This is perhaps the main issue and problem with football in Glasgow, and to be fair where most of the problems stem from. Noone is asking you to forget (or forgive for some) what has gone on in the past. But as another post said, leave the politics at the door. Has NOTHING to do with football. In fact, highlights to me and maybe poses the question to some, why certain people support celtic and go to matches. Are these people actually interested in football, celtic fc, or purely following for political interest and grudge?
Football should be about the team, the club, the game and the enjoyment of sport. nothing more! J

Sorry Kbarry and all but the Green Brigade have proven they cannot be trusted and seem to think they are above the law. Not only that but they are hurting Celtic's reputation which we the decent majority of fans have worked so hard to get.
I know all about the political stuff, get it all the time from my family, but it is time to move on and keep all political stuff away from Celtic Park.
Timalloy (Irish and proud of it, but hate what the GB are doing)

Up the road for the GB I'm afraid. They have left the club with no alternative. You get the feeling even if they were given 2/3 more chances they would continue to breach the rules. No matter what people think about how correct or incorrect those recent banners where the club already made there stance to the GB representative before they were aloud back in the last time about making political statements on their banners and they have blatantly taken the piss again.

It's a shame really, I was gutted when I seen the banners as I knew what would follow. They bring a great atmosphere to the ground and for that if they are removed / split up they will be missed.

No one is bigger than the club and Celtic will move onwards and upwards without them.

14.) 29 Nov 2013
Ok kbarry since you clearly miss the point as to the difference to open to all and behave and represent Celtic the right way compaired to open to all in witch anyone can use our club for thier personal missions.

I guess under your thinking we are opened to all such as nazi and they are welcomed to have banners in the stadium saying how the Jewish people are right? Or open to all and racists can have banners saying colored people are nothing more then slaves or have no rights then right? Your the type of person who only is single minded in that your way of thinking is the only way and you fail to even lisen to another point or common sense. And your view is a stron one cause of your family history, whitch it's understandable but to use Celtic as your own personal need as the gb is not why Celtic is open to all. They don't say it is open to all and come and use the club at your own will, no! It is open to all to share in it and there are rules and common sense envolved with it and you I know this as the gb.

So tell me this open to all, would you welcome racists, nazi and all others to the club to have thier banners around the stadium? Cause believe it or not you are in relation to them because its clear you way of thinking is the only way. Would like to know your opinion, or is it do different from you thinking and gb.double standereds maybe?

15.) 29 Nov 2013
Surly they have to go, they had there last chance and blew it, they seem to have this opinion that they are bigger than the club, I would rather they went from a personal view as your club would'nt be on the front pages of every paper, and destroying the great reputation the real fans have built up!

16.) 29 Nov 2013
My opinion is: No I wouldn't want nazi's or racists welcomed at our club, but the gb are neither nazi's or racists. Their is an irish tri colour flying proudly above celtic park, because of our irish heritage at our club, Mr Sands was an irish freedom fighter, if there is a poppy day alowed to remember the british fighters, there shouldn't be a big ho ha/fuss about remebrace of an irish or scottish freedom fighter, evey coin has 2 sides. And you have changed your wording re: open to all,, read your OP, ., .kbarry

17.) 29 Nov 2013
Think you have ruffled a few feathers kbarry but the least posters should do when trying to slaughter you is leave a name or register personally I think the green brigade do a great job and would be sorely missed but it was obvious we would get reprimanded for this so they should be wiser cuter they played into the press hands and should be better advised

18.) 30 Nov 2013
The Green brigade bring a great atmosphere but if the club is being fined and punished for what they do and they refuse to stop then I say get them out ASAP. The green brigade now seem to think they are a big part of celtic, they are no more a celtic fan than the rest of us. They have been given countless warnings and ignore them at every turn.

When you go to the games surely you are there for 1 reason and 1 reason only and that is to SUPPORT the club. Any demonstrations or flag waving that is nothing to do with Celtic should be done outside the ground.

I actually agree with the sentiment of what they are trying to say but the phrase 'Theres a time and a place' is something they should consider. Keep all of these non football related things away from the inside of the ground.

The GB toe the club line or go, I am fully aware of the roots origin etc, however this is a Scottish club that plays in the Spfl and is known worldwide as Glasgow Celtic enough said.
