Forrest is top target for Cardiff. £7 million is being quoted. Luckily NL has said hands off he's not for sale. Forrest now joins Brown, Samaras, Ledley & Forster that other clubs are taking great interest in. I just hope the board back up Lennon, We know we are a massive club, Bigger than Cardiff will ever be, but we can say the same about Norwich & Southampton & they signed Hooper & Wanyama respectively. The sad truth is EPL clubs can pay a wage far greater than us. The CL is the place every club ant to be, we reached the last 16 last season & dragged ourselves back into this seasons CL, but our success brings our players into the spotlight.

James is really in scintillating form at the moment, despite being hampered with illness etc. He's back to performing, and promises an awful lot. 7M just isn't enough for an exciting young international winger whose setting the champions league alight (had that volley against barca clipped the other side of the bar!). Everything Lennon says in the report is perfectly true. The club are under no pressure, so unless james himself fancies trading paradise for Cardiff I can't see it.

James Forrest. punt him. £7m?? Won a watch!!!!!11

Is it just me our does the manager seem to be pimping our players in the media. Some might say that he is only pointing out that so called 'bigger clubs' will come calling if the level of form is maintained by individuals, but I can't help thinking it's just plain and simple pimping.

Hooper, Wanyama, Foster, Forrest etc. etc. I have listened to the praise coming for their performances in one breath such as "Worthy of England call up" or "It would take a mega fee to get us to listen" and in the next it's "We will find it difficult to hold onto to them". It is starting to wind me up.

Instead of kicking on and splashing some of the millions accumulating in the bank it all seems to be negativity about loosing players. Where has the ambition gone? The board need to back the manager and he needs to stop dancing to their tune and being the public face/voice for their penny pinching.

Got the car running would personally drive him down for 7m. He's decent when he wants to be, but can't cross a road would bite the hand off you for 7m.

5.) 28 Oct 2013
Cant understand people saying they would take £7m for him. His final ball is getting better all the time and with his natural ability to beat him I can only see him improving. I can't see him leaving soon as I believe he will only improve with game time and he will guaranteed that with us. Maybe at the end of next season but I would hope it would be a lot more than £7m

6.) 28 Oct 2013
He crosses much better than Matthews.
Anyway don't fret, Charles green assured us all that Celtic and New Rangers would be in EPL in three years, that was over a year ago.

7.) 28 Oct 2013
£7m for Forrest? Take it and run! A poor man's McGeady in my eyes.

I too would offer to drive him to Wales should an offer come in of that kind of money.

I think people need to lay off Forrest! Some of the comments about him are beyond a joke. The boy has talent & people need to remember he's only 20 years old & will keep getting better. The will make the club real money in a few years!

10.) 28 Oct 2013
Really sad how a young player who came through the ranks and knows what celtic means to the fans is ridiculed by his own support. He has flaws and can frustrate but who in the team doesn't have flaws. He is being treated by some like aiden McGrath was and that is pathetic. If talented youths are discarded what will we end up with a bunch of Israelis, Africans, Scandinavians with no affiliation to its support.

Hes 22 not 20 i'd keep him for a while though

12.) 28 Oct 2013
Wouldn't say he is be ridiculed would say it's an opinion and an honest 1 at that. Compare good games to terrible games I know what out weighs the other.

13.) 28 Oct 2013
Got the car running, drive him myself, poor mans McGeady, can't cross the road, punt him won a watch all unnecessary insults to a celtic player who has the ability to win important games and points for us, attacking players rarely perform every game so do we also get rid of Sammy stokes pukki commons and derk or do we hope that on off days others pick up the slack.

14.) 28 Oct 2013
Nobodies insulting forrest jim. just saying that 7million is a good price I agree. danny.

15.) 29 Oct 2013
7m is a great price for him 6 games a season ain't good enough for a player who plays fro Celtic.personal ya think its pie in the sky lies from the board

16.) 29 Oct 2013
I'd sell him for 5

Its just not fair to single out the foreigners as lacking loyalty to the club. Sami, Emilio, the Welsh lads - rubbish, even and particularly Zaluska - these guys play for the shirt every time. I think Kayal gets it too - although his form hasn't merited inclusion in the XI often enough this last year or so.

To see all the players with their respective flags on their back at the end of last season was a real privilege. There's no contradiction in being foreign and putting a shift for an honest and egalitarian club like the bhoys.
