Let's get back to discussing CELTIC ( a novel idea I know).
In December I posted about our coefficient and asked whether it would have helped us more to go down to Europa League but maybe win some more coefficient points.
So far Celtic have gained 20 coefficient points (cannot see us adding to that total) ideally we need round about that coefficient points each season. In next 3 seasons we should be aiming for 20 points each year. We also need the other SPL teams to start chipping in with more coefficient points (this season 4 teams only got 3 points)
Next season we play 3 qualifying rounds, we need every SPL to get our points total up which will benefit not just Celtic but all SPL teams as well.
We all know UEFA calculate coefficient over 5 year cycles so we need next 4/5 years to be better than last 5 years.
With Celtic reaching last 16 this season, all SPL teams will receive about £200k bonus each as a result, so it is in their interests financially and also the other SPL teams have chance of making more money if they progress further in europe themselves.

I think 3 qualifiers - and when they are scheduled - is a big ask and if we lose a few of out top players early in the summer window; then it adds up.
We all prefer the CL for obvious reasons and we had some great highs along the way and I was totally surprised and delighted we managed 10 points in our group although, I too thought we would be better equipped to challenge for the Europa trophy.
Anyway 4-0 in Turin could happen - but who for?

I hope Dundee United finish second this year, If they can keep all there players, I think they could get passed at least first round of Champion League qualifiers.

Always thought that euro qualification should come down too individual points rather then national average, cetic should be judged by what they done in past 5 years rather then what motherwell did, although we havnt been as prolific in past we should have boosted our own score this year
