Although the Board have done a great job of clearing the decks and that's 8-9 off the wage bill (some bringing in a xfer fee) . I wish they were as good at getting better players in the door.

It’s been a positive window for selling fringe players but it’s currently be a very slow window for signing Quality players.

I think the fact we’re in this position comes down to the recruitment last year, far too many fringe players who we had to get rid of before getting players in. It’s telling that we signed something like 8 players last summer yet none of them were starters or had any meaningful impact the second half of last season.
No disrespect but I’ll be glad if Mikey Johnston is off, the lad simply just doesn’t have the mentality to play for Celtic, when 3 different managers aren’t keen then that says the lot. He’s certainty got talent but he just can’t show it here, best of luck but his times up and we can’t carry passengers, time to add quality instead of quantity with this squad.

I predict come the end of the transfer window, our recruitment will more about who has left than who we have got in. The current squad is at least 5 if not more short to cover the extended Champions League format and all the domestic challenges. Leaving things this late only opens up the same old excuses of 'we tried to fill key positions with quality, but didn't get things over the line'. Oh, but don't forget about our newly released 3rd kit.

Wiltshire celt, there will be no excuse acceptable by the club for not getting more business done this window. they've a week to sort it out, we cannot keep selling our best assets banking the money and not investing it on the best possible talent we can attract to the club. the board cannot throw out the usual excuses this window and expect fans to buy it. it simply won't wash.

If Roger’s isn’t given the quality he’s looking for, he will walk. He’s said a few times already we need to strengthen for Europe, and the fans deserve the very best possible team they can have on the pitch. He’s basically pressured the board to make signings and if it’s not done he will go and I for one wouldn’t blame him. He’s doing a job with his hands tied behind his back. Last season our 11 were doing ok in most European games until changes had to be made, that’s a massive difference between us and decent sides. They make changes and at points it actually makes their side stronger, in Europe we become weaker as the squad isn’t good enough for it.

100% agree Gary and Quinn, but we have seen this ridiculous play many times before. I don't understand why or how Ange got what he wanted EARLY. I hope its not weak namby pambyism striking. our left back weakness is clear to see.

Probably all the dross signed last summer EARLY were Ange signings and how did they turn out. Ange got in Hatate Kyogo and maeda as he’d seen them in the league they were pretty cheap and their clubs would take any cash going. How did the rest of anges many signings do most were garbage.

The three you mention are top quality. Kasper aside, and that took us an eternity to finalise, where has the top quality, long term squad development been ever since? I fear Brendan is too much of a patsy to Dermot. The recruitment team / board delays could cost us tens of millions all for squabbling over loose change. I imagine our negotiating attempts are similar to an old lady trying to strike a good deal buying a 2nd hand car from a dodgy car salesman.
