Welsh and Ralston are quite similar in how their careers have developed.
This time last year it looked like Ralston could be on his way out but he knuckled down and became a very important player for us.
I'm hoping Welsh does the same and shows his true ability. I don't think he'll be aiming to simply provide cover for others, he'll want to put his name on the teamsheet every week because of what he can do, even when the injured guys are fit. HH.

Good shout besty, the club needs to run with 4 cbs all competing, remember O'Neil did the same and also had 3 strikers.

If Julienne is leaving we need another CB. We cannot go into this year without quality back up in case of injuries or suspensions. Can’t see it though, but for peace of mind I woukd like that.

I agree that we need at least 4 fit CB's fighting it out.
If Jullien leaves during this window we would have;- CCV, Welsh, Jenz and Starfelt (currently out injured) .

So Happy for Ralston. I had doubts about his ability to step up, but I always remembered the game under Rogers at Mordor when we shat it and young Tony came on and got stuck into the cants. I respected him for that and wished he could get better. We need players who know what our jersey means and us will to fight for it. I also think he is one of the best crossers of a baw in the team. I’m over the moon he has handed me my arse about the doubts I had about his ability, that never extended to his commitment and willingness to fight for us, especially against the deluded. Well done son and keep it up,

CH cover CCV Starfelt Welsh Jenz Jullien if Jullien stays he gets nowhere near first team action so to bring in a replacement for him leaving would put the player sitting out wasting time too so no point in replacing Jullien.
