Starfelt out until September at least with hamstring injury, Welsh, Jenz and Julien till then, keep fit CCV.

he will be a big miss, considering a lot wanted him gone early last season, perhaps we will need to hold on to the big frenchman.

I think there is more chance of Jens plating.

23 Jul 2022 08:28:10
Julien is likely to leave during this window which means Moritz could be the man to partner CCV until Starmans return ?

If we have bought someone who isn’t as good as Sterfelt, we are in trouble. What’s the point in that? If Jenz isn’t better we should never have bought him. He better be better or it’s another in an endless line of us buying defenders who are s hit.

Magicpole,

Can you list the defenders that Ange has signed who have been rubbish in your opinion?

Evening All

Was strongly led to believe that due to "data protection" Ange wouldn't give updates on players injuries.

On The Scotsman newspaper website. after game he has given an update on Starfelt injury and gave various quotes but main one was Starfelt will return for away game to Ross County.

Assuming we win against Aberdeen it's unlikely that Ange should / would change central defence partnership?

?.

{Ed007's Note - From The Scotsman 8/01/22:

Ange Postecoglou: "I said he [Furuhashi] is going to be out for a number of weeks,” the Celtic manager stated ahead of Saturday’s home match with Dundee United. “It’s a similar injury to Dave Turnbull and he’s been out for quite a while [after coming off in the League Cup final on December 19], so we expect a similar sort of recovery. I’m not going to talk about people’s medical procedures. That’s people’s private business.
It’s not that I am saying he will or he won’t [require an operation], but my job is to tell you guys when potentially he will be back. I have to respect people’s privacy here and people shouldn’t be throwing around rumours and stuff. I’m sure you guys wouldn’t like your medical procedures to be played out in the public, and players are no different.”

So today Ange has confirmed what he said a while back that he thought Starfelt would be back for the Aberdeen game. What's changed?

"We’re hoping he’ll join in training at some point this week. He’s in the last stages and doing all the physical stuff away from the group.
So knock on wood, he’s passed every stage and the handover to the football department should happen next week. That means that hopefully within a week or two he’s ready to go."

Unless I'm missing something not sure what your point is? ?.

{Ed007's Note - That Ange doesn't discuss injuries until the player is due back and his explanation on why he doesn't instead of you or anyone else being led to believe anything.
There is also no direct quote with Ange saying anything at all about Starfelt and the Ross County game on The Scotsman site or anywhere else.}

I'm still confused tbh. I think you may have misunderstood or misinterpreted my point

It's very difficult to get your point across on a chat forum as we both can read the same article and have 2 different opinions or conclusions.

Your very lengthy copy and paste as far as I can read doesn't quote anything from Ange about injuries (which is my point) he is quoting players medical procedures which I agree is everyone's private business.

It appears to me you have taken exception to my posts on this subject.

However, surely your allowed an opinion / viewpoint without yourself being borderline rude to me.

Although I have only been posting on forum and contributing to podcast for a short period I'm fairly confident I have respected others views and opinions without any sense of rudeness.

Perhaps other contributors opinions are more valued and respected than others?

?.

{Ed007's Note - We were speaking the other day about why there's no updates about Starfelt's injury and now it's been brought back up I quoted Ange's own words on why to explain it more fully.
You then said:

"On The Scotsman newspaper website. after game he has given an update on Starfelt injury and gave various quotes but main one was Starfelt will return for away game to Ross County. "

Now that's simply not true is it? And that's all I was pointing out.
And no, I'll pull up anyone when they are spreading false information, yes everyone is entitled to an opinion but they aren't entitled to make things up and I really don't see where you are being disrespected, I didn't even give my opinion I only presented facts and you can't be disrespected by facts.
People come here to read about Celtic, if there's something that's not true being put up as fact it's up to me to point out that it's wrong, if someone posts a rumour I'll put up anything I've heard about it or why I don't think it'll happen.
It's nothing personal. ?

23 Jul 2022 20:29:17
Sorry. but you definitely have completely misinterpreted my post.

However, although I absolutely disagree with your interpretation of my opinion I respect yours.

?.

{Ed007's Note - ? Maybe crossed wires, Brian no harm or disrespect meant ? Come on the pod and we'll sort it ??

23 Jul 2022 21:33:11
Thanks. I fully respect your reply ?

Let's hope for everyone's sake that Starfelt gets back asap ?

?.

{Ed007's Note - ?
