Makes total sense, big fan of the loan market if the due diligence is done right and an option to buy included, as we’ve just seen with the CCV and jota deals. If only we had got barkas and ajeti on loan deals we would have saved the best part of 10 mil ?.

There was a story circulating last week that we had a budget of 20million, the writer said we had basically spent that budget now, so could possibly be true . As both mooy and jenz are not costing us any fees . I suppose we shall see how correct that statement was if we spend fees on any more players later in the window.
Hopefully both players can make a really good contribution .

Got absolutely no idea what the finances are only the finance director, michael Nicholson and ange will really know but I did see a report somewhere that in transfer fees alone for the whole of last year, we brought in nearly 40m and spent 20m on outgoings. Income was largely made up of the frimpong, ajer and edouard sales with the other small sales we made. I’m guessing that remaining 20m was allowed on the transfers for this year including the January buys so the champions league money should mean pure profit towards operating expenses and back up transfer cash should we need it.

Rich, I’d presume that no one on here really has a close contact at the club that gives them solid info,
So we can only go on what bits we read or hear . But news now just mentioned that we have spent just over 17.5 million and have 2.5 to ply with in the budget, which ange wants to use on a centre back and a forward option . While we are all happy that we bought jota and ccv, I’m not sure if we have strengthened significantly from last season, especially defensively. Domestically we will be too strong but last year in Europe we didn’t do very well.
Siegrist is a better option than Bain but that’s about it as far as I can see so far ?♂️.

Transfers don’t work solely on money in and out it’s all about timing of departures and the running cost of the transfer budget (amortisation)

I was just thinking of squad position i. e Ajeti he is our 3rd choice ST now if he leaves do we have cover in that area which I don't think we do.
