Being linked with matonda a winger on loan at schalke who is a man City player, funny season has officially started.

Thanks Ed didn't realise schalke had signed him, what kind of fee they after, you any idea.
{Ed007's Note - The option to buy - which Cercle Brugge KSV won't be triggering - was €3.5 million so I don't see it being any more than that especially now that he is down to the last year of his deal.
I'm not convinced that there is any concrete interest in Matondo from Celtic, all the links can be traced back to the one article in the Belgian press and any story that links both us and Old Firm FC to a player is always suspicious imo and usually comes from an agent trying to drum up interest in his player or from the Scottish MSM who get wind of one of us in for a player and then link the other side for clicks/sales.}

The rumours and speculation will go into overdrive, with one or two actually well-founded. There are obvious positions and gaps that need to be addressed with the right quality to improve and progress. I will just wait as patiently as I can and hope we get what we need. There will still be other players moving-on that need replaced. However, I am also very optimistic about seeing the players who arrived in January, get even better with a pre-season behind them, added to the experience and familiarization gained since arrival. Robertson, Ideguchi and McCarthy can also stake a pre-season claim?
