Bitton also looks like he's away in the summer and I don't see any point in McCarthy sitting on the bench for another 3 years.

Not sure why we want to push calmac further forward. The boy won poty in holding role. Agree we need a bit of dig in there for certain games but I think when we push calmac up after 65 mins when we make subs and bring Bitton on, we seem to lose control. I agree we need a tough tackler option for certain games.
{Ed007's Note - McGregor might have won POTY but he will never be good enough defensively to play as a CDM. If we continue with him there then we can expect more struggles when we come up against teams who outmuscle & outfight our midfield.
Bitton can't play the role Ange wants in a CDM and neither can McGregor - Bitton doesn't have the vision/ability/mobility and McGregor doesn't have the physicality side of the game and can't tackle for toffee.}

if CCV is happy to sign for Celtic then it makes no difference whether Newcastle or any other team are interested, as we've already agreed a price when the loan deal was signed.

Thought calmac played his best football for us under the rat. Who played him further forward, he a class wee player that can adapt. He's no LB though.
