Celtic are on the lookout for a First Team Recruitment Analyst after the job listing appeared on a specialist recruitment website.
I'm guessing this is a replacement of sorts for Nick Hammond who resigned from his role at the end of March. It's a responsible role for sure but why on earth have they not approached someone they already are aware of with the relevant experience?
And why have they not done it long before now? HH.

Maybe the club thought what they had in place would be sufficient and the manager has seen their work and said its not good enough?

It's an analytics role the clue is in the title. An important facet for me but it's not as senior a position as somebody like Hammond.

I’m confident we will see changes I don’t think Ange is the type to lie, his intrerviews are well presented and I actually believe in what he’s trying to do here. There will be plenty of work going on in the background scouting and offering deals etc.

Ken, I'm sure there are but this is a strategic position.
My question is why has it taken until July to look for someone?
Did we not think this was a good idea 3 months ago? Or is this a new approach in the world of football that was invented yesterday?
All the big clubs have been on it for quite a few years but here we are, hustling about trying to think of new ideas. HH.

We want change right now ED! No time to wait, right now. The club are doing well at the moment that’s how I see it. Transfer window opened 8 days ago in reality and everyone’s already freaking out. Listen to the manager and what he says. Too many negatives nowadays lol.

Sums up this window to a tee when the talk is about getting recruitment people in. Ange should be look8ng at 0layers he wants within our budget and Dom gets them. Two weeks have passed since he said he, wanted them in yesterday, and so far, it's a free from Sheff Wed. It's truly remarkable how long it takes our board to do anything. Have they learned nothing? Right now it seems that way. We need players for the CL or it's the old back four of Ralston, Bitton, Taylor and Welsh. Even writing that gives me the fear. Come on Dom four or five in the next couple if days please.

Our club should have been on this a long time ago and I'm not talking about the last 7 days or 10 days or whatever, I'm talking about the last 5 years or more because various sources of all or most of the required info has been available.
All the big clubs have been doing it for ages and perhaps it's an example of one of many important cogs missing from a machine that needs to be highly maintained.
The fact it's being addressed now IS a positive development if a bit later in the game than it needed to be. HH.
