Somebody posted the other day about moyes saying Ajeti will never make it at celtic, beggars belief that someone sanctioned a 5 mill lay out is the dud, maybe that's why Hammond got bumped?

Ajeti will be given a chance, but I don't have too much confidence he has what it takes. It's down to him and if he fits into Anges way of playing. As Ange said, it's just talk about how he wants to play. The talk gets turned into action only after the board back him and brings in players who can cut it. And soon. If we go without them and they fail in the CL and Europa then that could destroy confidence and the first month away to Hearts and Rangers might be season defining. Don't take the risk Dom. Get good players in and give us a fighting chance across all competitions. We are all doubtful about the CL, but if we recruit fast you never know. The recruit fast is a worry. Hooefully Dom doesn't dither as Lawell did. If he does, get the tin hats out.

Ultimately you need high quality staff to have a high quality football club. Like any other business at the end of the day these are the guys that run the show with the information and options they have at their disposal. If a higher quality scouting network was implemented within Celtic with A roads in youth to our first team then we would generate cash in abundance and higher quality players. Sadly we haven’t kept with the times and let this side of the club fade away. When you look back at all of the youth we produce we practically just act as a stepping stone for these players to have careers at smaller less successful clubs in Scotland. That’s where the majority go. Players like Mcregor, Forrest and Tierney are too few and far between.

I just watched the video of the team training . Ajeti looks a lot slimmer than last season . When he first came in his finishing was good. I think he may do a job for us this season. His goals to games ratio was slightly better than griffs last season, yet loads on here are happy to have him back.
By the way for those that haven’t seen the video, he comes across impressively, if the team buy into it I think it could be miles better than the turgid football we have had to endure for the last season and a half.

We all want him and all the players to stand up and produce. As I said I am doubtful Ajeti will, but I will be kicking my height if he proves me wrong. Maybe a somersault or two as well, then when I get out of hospital enjoy watching him score a barrowload.

If we go with Ajetti and Griff, I will be more than a wee bit apprehensive as their attitude and application was ridiculously poor last season and although the new manager may be a catalyst in their improvement, I still can't forget the fitness neglect of Griff, most of last season and Ajetti feigning injury to miss matches.

I thought it was Lennon who had the final say on transfers. Hammond could only recommend players and the manager has the final say.

Clean slate for everyone, then move forward. Last year we had a manager complaining of unfit players half way thru the season, really! How TF did He allow this to be the case. Maybe the “ down tools†attitude came from a lack of any professionalism above them? These same players ( mostly) won everything available for years previously, they didn’t all become rubbish overnight.

Ange is a smart cookie. He knows he's up against it and he won't make that task harder by allowing wanabee managers picking players. An actual disgrace Lawell did this so much. He even did it with the deposed Messiah. The feckin arrogance and ego of the man was mind blowing. Best news in years he is leaving. A cloud has lifted from my brain, fogged by his dithering and cheap skate BS.
