It's looking like a no from Ajeti. Instead of flying to Glasgow like Barkas has he has flown home to Switzerland to think about it. He clearly doesn't fancy it or he'd be here for a medical, or maybe he's just waiting to see if he can get a better offer elsewhere. Fair enough, it's his career at the end of the day, we should move on. HH.

I thought that as well last night when I read the news but maybe its the same approach as when we brought Edouard in from PSG. He was second on line to Dembele at the time, we made it permanent the following season knowing Dembele was very likely to move on. Toney and Ajeti come in this window, they settle in for a year before looking to step up as the main man next year when it is more likely Edouard will want to go.

Now if Tony that good he will get snapped up down south he going into last year of his contract the club selling him know he could just buy bide his time sign pre contract in January so they could end up war nothing and if they want to no sell to Celtic just tell the club no spray it round in the open cause our Peter will no be happy.

Just read a bit that said some club have asked ajeti to put the transfer on hold till they can come up with a package. If that's true then we should just tell him to forget it and move on.

Buster, I very much doubt a 23 and 24 year old striker will be happy sitting on the bench for a year waiting to be a regular next season. If that was the case they could probably get more money playing in the Championship week in week out. To develop they have to be playing games. I also don't think we are in a position to have two £5-10m strikers warming the bench. Personally can see it being one or the other.

It looks like we will play 2 up top most games. Griffiths and Klimala have a bit to prove. Ajeti can play anywhere across the front. 4 strikers competing for 2 positions is ideal.

I knew Barry Fry wasn't afraid to run his mouth. But it seems the Peterborough Chairman isn't either. According to him we've 'took the mickey' with what is reported to be a £5m bid. Fair enough like any other club they can ask what they want, but I'd love to know what mid-table League One sideas are valuing players at these days. 10m? 20m? I'd walk away. If Toney wants to join us he can push for a move himself and see if that makes a difference.

Ivan Toney might be a good league 1 player but I’m not convinced he has it, I know he was at Newcastle and don’t ever recall hearing positive things. Ajeti at least has done well at Basel who competed well in Europe.
5 mill for Toney is too much so let Brentford waste their 12 million on him
I’d rather stay away from the ridiculously overpriced English leagues.

Toney is a quality striker. Watched him last year when his name cropped up. Obviously 12mil iis steep for us but at in around 6 he’s well worth it. Probably will all rest on Brentford game now on Tuesday night.
